SmellGood Raw Unrefined Yellow Shea Butter A Quality From Ghana (10 LB)

Wow...I have had this product for over a year and I still have a ton, even after making Christmas presents for two years in a row. This is such a high quality shea butter. I wouldn't mess around with the other stuff. I have had people tell me that this has cured their skin problems. I had a lot of success melting this some and diluting it for lotions, and it also works amazing in lotion bars. Here is my lotion bar recipe: Soap mold or silicon cupcake liners 1 part beeswax 1 part shea butter 1 part avocado, coconut, or jojoba oil Essential oils to your liking. Simply melt the ingredients together and pour in the mold. Everyone loved these. They are so much more economical and practical than lotions. I can't imagine using store bought stuff now. I also have had great success mixing this with some coconut oil, essential oils, and some baking soda to make homemade deodorant. I've melted them and put them in old deodorant containers and I also melt it and pour it into small, wide-mouthed jars that allow you easy access and scooping ability into. I currently have a jar of homemade deodorant in my bathroom drawer. I use it daily. I give this 5 stars because this is top-of-the-line shea butter. It is dark yellow. You can literally "see" the vitamins in it. I love it. It is a little thicker and messier than than the whiter, block-looking types of shea butter. This looks more unrefined and like it has a higher fat content. I prefer this over that kind any day of the week.

Been using this every day on my skin for 3 years now. It's amazing, and definitely exceeds expectations. It has a pleasant smell, melts and body temperature, and works well as is, or blended with essential oils, eaten, cooked with, used as a massage oil, melted and mixed with beeswax, or used on prego bellies for stretch marks. I have pretty sensitive skin-especially my face. It'll break out or get dry and itchy if I use products with a lot of cheap, artificial, or harsh chemical ingredients in them. So, not only do I use this for chapstick, but all an all-purpose, all over full body butter. I couldn't be happier. I ordered 10lbs 3 years ago (in December), and I am only now down to my last couple pounds, even after giving away multiple half-pound chunks to others. I keep the large "mother chunk" wrapped in wax paper inside of a Tupperware container and use a smaller sealed container for daily use. When it gets low, I just refill it. Giant chunk can be put into the oven at very low temperatures to soften or reshape to fit into a container.

I DON'T KNOW WHY I DIDN'T POST A REVIEW THEN BUT I HAVE USED THIS PRODUCT FOR 3 YEARS AND I APPRECIATE THIS PRODUCT MORE NOW THAT I COULD HAVE IMAGINED WHEN I FIRST PURCHASED IT, SO I WANTED TO POST A REVIEW . I DIDN'T REALLY REALIZED HOW MUCH 10 LBS WAS. I STORED IT IN MASON JARS. I GAVE THEM OUT AS CHRISTMAS GIFTS, BUT KEPT TH MAJORITY OF IT, I USED MYSELF AND FOR MY FAMILY. I PUT 1 OZ OF COCONUT OIL WITH 15 OZ OF SHEA BUTTER IN A MASON JAR. HEATED IN THE MICROWAVE TILL IT LIQUIDIFIED. STIRRED WELL AND SEALED TIGHT. THIS MADE THE SHEA BUTTER SOFT AND EASY TO MANAGE. THIS IS MY GO TO BUTTER FOR EVERYTHING. (EXCEPT, MY BABY'S BRACELET SCRATCHED HER FACE AND I PUT 100% SHEA BUTTER ON HER SCRAP, IT HEALED BEAUTIFULLY WITHOUT ANY HINT OF A SCAR) I REMOVED MAKE-UP WITH IT, APPLIED IT TO MY BODY AFTER BATHING TO SEAL IN MOISTURE, MY DAUGHTER'S HAIR, IT FADES SCARS (OLD AND NEW), ON MY FEET, ON MY BELLY WHEN I WAS PREGNANT, ON THE BABY'S BOTTOM BETWEEN DIAPER CHANGES. I USED IT ON EVERYTHING!!!! I CAME BACK TO AMAZON TO BUY FROM THIS SUPPLIER AGAIN, BECAUSE IT HAS LASTED THIS LONG. EXCELLENT QUALITY. IT IS ABSOLUTELY MAGIC!

Great price for item but does have a very strong smoky smell. This could be normal, not sure because this is my first experience with unrefined shea butter. It does make wonderful body butters and lip balm!

I would recommend anyone who use Shea butter on a daily basis to purchase it unrefined in a 10 LB bulk. The reason why I prefer to buy Shea Butter in bulk, is because I use to buy an 8 oz. container for about 5 or 6 bucks and it didn't last me very long. Since I swear by Shea Butter, I feel like this product offer is a great deal, because I only paid about 20-30 dollars with shipping included. The Shea Butter came bagged in a box with plastic wrapped around it to ensure freshness. The Shea is a bright yellow, it's very soft, and has a very strong smell. The strong smell and texture indicates just how fresh the Shea Butter is. The delivery didn't take long at all. I received the Shea Butter in maybe like 3 or 4 days after placing my order. If you want softer, smoother, and clearer skin then get this product. Shea Butter is great for fading discoloration, and stretch marks.

I won't use anything BUT Raw Shea Butter on my skin, it works better than anything I have ever tried and I have suffered from SEVERE Eczema my entire life (Which I have done research on, found out it's linked to Leaky Gut, and I have since changed my diet and almost all of my Eczema has gone!! Now I am suffering from Stress-induced Eczema). Sometimes when my skin is really bothering me, I will have my husband melt down about 1/8-1/4 cup and pour it into my bath water, that is the most soothing thing I have ever done to my Eczema. This is yellow shea, I'm not very well versed on the different kinds of shea that there are, but this kind absorbs more readily into the skin, even without melting and whipping with other oils. I will definitely be purchasing this again!!
