Growing and thriving!
I ordered 4 Dwarf Black Everbearing Mulberry Plants in late March of this year and they arrived in early April, two weeks later. The plants were small and about three to five inches in height and looked really healthy, but less than a week after getting them they started to wilt and one by one all four plants died and I was really disappointed. I believe because each plant's root system didn't take since these plants were from cuttings. I contacted the seller and explained what happened and they sent me four bigger, healthier six to eight inch plants with strong big roots. I was very satisfied when I got them on Friday April 18th 2014 right in time for my Mom's birthday. :) I then watered each plant carefully and put them on my fireplace mantle under the skylight in my living so they could be exposed to soft light. After three days of receiving them I planted each plant in a 22 inch resin container outside on Monday April 21st 2014 and they have taken off like beanstalks! Each Dwarf Black Mulberry plant has grown about four to five feet in height in just four and a half months! I'm really impressed and I also see a few Mulberries growing on three of the four plants which I saw today (Tuesday September 2nd 2014) I would definitely recommend these Dwarf Black Everbearing Mulberry plants but be sure if you are receiving a cutting to see if the cuttings have big strong roots otherwise they will not survive. And plant them outside after three or four days of receiving them. Do not expose them to direct sunlight once you receive them because they will go into shock and not survive, only expose them to soft light from a skylight or windowsill. I can't wait to try my Mulberries once they are ripe. I am very happy with my Dwarf Black Everbearing Mulberry Plants. :)

Don't. Just...don't.
I love mulberries & wanted this for myself & the birds. Since they're a fast growing tree I didn't mind that it was in a 4" pot, so it doesn't look at all like the photo. However, it's been struggling. It's lost nearly every leaf it came with. The good news is that it's growing new ones. I'm very hopeful ~ since I live in the southern U.S. ~ it'll re-bound and be strong enough to make through the winter <fingers crossed>. Update: 2015. Unsurprisingly, it died. The 1st one I bought struggled, my chickens kept eating it so when it died I took full responsibility. So this Spring I went ahead and ordered another one. Mistake. What I received wasn't even a 'plant', it had no roots and so there was no chance it would survive being shipped. They, quite literally, just cut a tiny nubbin off a tree, stuck it in a pot and mailed it to me. It wilted, shriveled up and died within 3 days.

Easy to grow, fast to fruit!
I purchased this mulberry less than two months ago, and it came in a 4 inch pot with a small stem and two leaves. I immediately planted it in a 20 gallon grow bag with a bag of potting mix, and this thing has taken off! I water it every few days (once the top inch of soil is dry, so more often on hot Florida days, but less often when it's been a bit cooler), but have yet to fertilize it. 7 weeks later, our mulberry has it's first little mulberry hanging off! The kids are very excited as I did not expect fruit quite so soon!! Would recommend this plant to grow to even the most novice gardener! Update: 3 years later, this plant is going strong. We upgraded the mulberry to a 30 gallon grow bag since it grew quite rapidly. And despite me forgetting to water it often it has thrived - probably because of the huge tap root we discovered when we moved that had grown through the grow bag. It did look a bit sad for a while after we cut the tap root, but it recovered nicely. We intentionally cut the leader to encourage lower growth, otherwise it would be several feet taller. But it now is covered with big, red berries. We prefer these berries to our ever bearing mulberry, which has smaller and less juicy berries. For a beginner gardener, this is a great plant. It can deal with a lot of neglect and it will grow and fruit quickly for you!

I received a packet of seeds in the mail. There was no soil or 4 inch pot included like advertised.
