The Family Tree Scandinavian Genealogy Guide: How to Trace Your Ancestors in Denmark, Sweden, and Norway Review: Very helpful - I'm look for Danish genealogy info, and this book was very helpful. There is a lot more available online in the Danish National Archives than just what you can find at familysearch and ancestry.com. Review: Really helpful tool for doing some family genealogy research - I've been working on my family tree for about a year now. Many of my relatives are in Norway, Sweden and Denmark and the research has been challenging for those countries. This book has given me many tips on where to find additional documentation, as well as some really helpful information about what was going on in those countries during the time frames my ancestors were living there. Would HIGHLY recommend this to anyone that is looking to gather more information on your Scandinavian heritage.

Good for Learning How to Research Your Scandinavian Ancestors
One of my great grandfathers was born in Denmark and immigrated to the U.S. in the 1880s. This book is full of detailed information about each of the Scandinavian countries, it's history and immigration patterns. It also provides key resources for research. I have not done much with the research into old Danish records yet, but this book provides the tools to help me when I do it.

The content is great - the quality is very poor!
I bought this book because I had checked it out from our local library and found it to be full of valuable information. Unfortunately the quality of the book I received is far below the original book from the library. The pages are thin so any sort of highlight bleeds through to the other pages. Even felt tip markers which do not bleed in normal books will bleed in this one. In looking further, you can actually see the type from the other side of the page! I do not recommend. Sad that the quality is so low - I will buy my books from a reputable book store in the future and avoid books from Amazon.
