I've used this for several months. It has great adjustability. My phone stays in it securely. The size is optimal. You can move it around easily. The magnet strength is good. It is starting to get some wear. A tiny piece on the end has broken, but it's still usable and safe to hold my phone. It hasn't impacted function yet. I feel it's a good value. I think most of these devices break easily, but this one has held up decently. I like the way you can adjust it. You can push a red button to loosen, and it has a sliding mechanism inside to tighten to the desired phone width. It also has rubber flexible pieces to help secure the phone. I don't worry about my phone flying out of it like other products. It's secure.

I use this attached to my Canon 5D Mark ii, I used it for an entire high school soccer season, to take video while taking sideline pictures. I am up and down the sidelines and my phone stayed securely in place the entire time. There is a little button on the side that one time almost got stuck so it wasn’t locking in place properly, but I could quickly fix it and it has worked great. It is a bit hard to adjust the angle - and with a 70-200 big white lens, if my phone camera was in wide angle I could see the end of my lens, but this wouldn’t be an issue at all with a shorter lens. But it worked great and I was able to get video and pictures at the same time.

It's cheap, but I don't trust it enough with my $1,000 phone. While testing it (and tightening it as much as I could) my phone still managed to come lose and fall from the mount. It'll do in a pinch, just don't expect to be able to move a lot with it and keep your phone steady. The plastic is also flimsy and I feel like I'll break it from how much it bends and creaks while tightening and loosening it, both the actual grip and the screw that controls the angle The rotation however is really sturdy, so that's a plus for this thing

Great tech ULANZI ST-06 Camera Hot Shoe Phone Holder. Use it every day on my tripod taking videos of me playing piano for Facebook and You Tube posts. Was tired of the three other phone holders for the tripod, so, purchased this one which has a hot shoe holder. Love it. Can twist it at any angle, and then twist it more with my excellent tripod, making all shots easy from any direction.

This product does not have a true angle adjustment. You will not be able to get the precise angle you need. These problems plus the screw not made for human fingers make this product useless and not worth the money. My advice is to spend a little extra for something better. Details ... 1. Preset angles? There seems to be preset angles, but there is no way to tell when you are at one of theses presets. With these supposed presets, I have to options: almost straight up and down (photo 1) or; down 20 degrees (photo 2). 2. Impossible To Get Angle Desired: To get the angle you need, you try to hold the phone and tighten screw. Once tight, you let go of and the phone drops forward. This means... 3. It Wobbles Like Crazy: In the above scenario, the phone wobbles (see attached video). You unscrew and screw until you find the angle position that doesn’t wobble, which is why I think there are preset angles. 4. Tightening Screw Changes The Angle: As you adjust the cheap plastic screw, the mount starts changing angles in the direction of screwing. This is impossible to control. 5. Screw Destroys Fingers: The is cheap plastic that has no ergonomic design. Fingers are too big for the screw. The screw has sharp angles. This destroys your thumb and index finger as you’re constantly tightening and loosening to find the angle you need. Painful. Summary: I’ve tried to use this mount for six days. It is completely impractical for use as an adjustable smartphone clamp and mount. This product costs time and attention that is best used for my project, not on a product. It has little value and little utility. It is getting returned.

It's my new go to item that I keep in my bag. I never know when I'll have the opportunity to film with my phone and take pictures with my camera at the same time! A bonus is that I can also use it to carry light (my phone case has a magnet that works with my small light!)

I purchased this to mount a cellphone and Canon EOS R to the DJI Ronin S for active-tracking and while it worked well enough for that purpose, I am not convinced about the quality of this unit. I'm still on the lookout for a cheap version of the DJI mount, as it looks a lot more sturdy. I can see this Ulanzi unit breaking because the clamp is a bit clunky and removing the phone wasn't effortless. But it's early days. Let's see how we go. 3.5 stars
