Sturdy and well built but my foot is a little different
I did return these, but not for any malfunction reason.I own a pair of Wildfire GTX. They fit great and secure my heel better than any shoe I have ever worn. No sliding around inside. These locked my heel just ad well. They appeared well built, so I figure tgey would hold up.Now the reasons. 1) Tight around the forefoot. Enough that I knew it would not break in. 2) The ratio of the sole of the heel to the height off the ground left me feeling like I was counting down to a rolled ankle. These are both personal "feel" so the shoe is great but does not fit me well.

Good shoe, poor fit
I am devoted saleva shoe buyer. The only brand I buy given the purpose of the shoe. While overall quality is great as always, this is most uncomfortable of any I've had. My issue with this model- toebox. It is plenty wide, but seems my toes are pinched from the top affecting the blood circulation and ending up with continuously cold feet. I will still buy their shoes but wait till something closer to firetail gtx comes out. Cheers

Tight fight, solid, sturdy shoe.
Definitely a solid hiking shoe. Sturdy and stable. Excellent tread on steep, gravelly terrain. Also got compliments on the way they look. However, they are absolutely NOT for the wide-footed. So, if you’re like me, you’re going to have to research some good techniques on breaking the shoe in to fit your foot. It can be done, and you will enjoy the shoe afterwards.Other than that, good shoe!

Great long lasting shors
I purchased the non-goretex version of this shoe three years ago and used them almost every single day. My only complaint was that my feet would get sweaty in the summer, and wet in the fall or winter. Goretex fixes both these complaints and I’m very happy with these shoes.

Greast shoe, runs small
I will not reorder because they came from the UK and shipping costs as much as the shoe almost. So order a half size up of you want them. But they are cool as it gets. I have Salewa hiking shoe and a boot, they are the most comfortable it will get.

Run Very Small
I love the shoes, but had to send them back because they were too small. I wear between a 10.5 and 11, I ordered an 11, and they were too small.

Excelentes Zapatos

The “beast” of approach shoes
Great, tough approach shoes.Own a number of pairs of approach shoes, preferring them to boots for the majority of mountain excursions. The Mountain Trainers aren’t as grippy as my Five Ten Tennie’s or La Sportiva TX4’s, but as the rubber isn’t as soft should last a lot longer - they are still an awful lot better than most boots and can easily accomplish hard scrambles/easy climbs.Sole is intentionally quite stiff so gives great confidence on rockier terrain, and are better suited to this environment than for general countryside walks. Yet to test waterproofing but would envisage this would be fine.Would have given 5 stars but first pair had defect in lacing eyelets but were promptly exchanged by Amazon.Recommended for scrambling, via ferrata, and any other more gnarly mountain adventures.

Dieser Schuhtyp ist den Preis nicht Wert!
Also, bin extrem enttäuscht von diesem Schuh.

Great but snug
These are a wee bit on the snug side. I’d suggest a half size up from normal if you prefer to wear a thicker sock.
