Easy to Use and Easy to Clean
I've used this product a few times to grind chicken breast and thighs for chicken burgers. It works great and is super easy to assemble and use. Cleanup is simple especially with the included brush. I use the brush to clean other attachments including a shredder/slicer. This unit is built solidly to last many years. I'm very glad I forked over the extra couple bucks to buy into this quality.I look forward to expanding my usage including sausage making,

Great meat grinder
Works perfectly, ground up and made beef summer sausage. Easy cleaning. Why did you pick this product vs others?:Stainless steel unit. I had an aluminum unit, it oxidized, so bad it was unusable without an hour of scrubbing. Unless you want to eat aluminum oxidization.

Heavy duty for residential use
The grinder parts are heavyweight and work well but the plunger for pushing food into the grinder is a cheap, hollow plastic that collapsed the first time I used it without applying excessive force.

Well Made
Waited to review until I had processed several batches, totaling 19 kilo (42 pounds approx). Grinding Top Side and Bacon for Hamburger meat. Starting with Semi Frozen meat, Froze the Grinder itself and ran it through the grinder twice (2nd largest size holes, as recommended in owners guide). I bought the stainless steel version and it is well made and secure and snug fitting to my Classic Kitchen Aid Mixer (only a couple years old). It came with 2 of the 4 blade cutters and one two blade cutter. It works really well and was concerned as it was not the Kitchen Aid brand, but took a chance because it was stainless steel. I am really happy I did. This product is first class. This product works as intended, but it is suited for home use, not heavy commercial use. The weakness is the Kitchen Aid mixer itself, it gets very hot on big batches and will strain and slow the motor. On first grinds, had to stop mid-batch to let the motor cool and take care not to push too much product through. Super for home but recommend a commercial grinder for large amounts of meat on a daily basis. One suggestion that I might eventually need is replacement blades, I don't see them available anywhere.

Why Was I still Using a Hand Crank Grinder???
I’ve had a KitchenAid mixer for years and never thought about getting the meat grinding attachment. Since I only used my previous hand crank, tedious, and persnickety grinder a couple of times a year, it didn’t click that I should upgrade. My old one broke last week just as I was starting to grind sausage, so quickly went in search of a replacement. I’m so thankful this one popped up, and I was able to get it the next day. It was very simple to assemble, and ground 5 lbs of sausage in a few minutes, without a major arm workout from me. Since the only place I have to use my KitchenAid is on my kitchen counter, and this attachment adds about 8” to the height, plus I’m 5’3”, I had to stand on a stool to use it properly. But since it cut my working time and effort down significantly, I wasn’t bothered by that. The auger and die plates are sturdy steel, the top tray is very light and feels like aluminum, and the food pusher is plastic. Cleaning took time, but my old one did too, so I don’t think that’s specific to this one. The instructions say it’s not dishwasher safe, but this is the type of kitchen gadget I always wash by hand anyway, so no problem. The cleaning brush that comes with this is useless. When I used pressure to clean inside the lower, grooved part of the main body, it bent and didn’t remove the meat remnants. When I pulled out my heavier duty cleaning brush, everything came off quickly.I’m really happy I moved into the era of technology and got this meat grinding attachment for my KitchenAid mixer. Once all the pieces were clean and dry, I put them back into the box and onto the shelf with my other attachments. Since the box is only about 9” wide, 6” tall and 5” deep, it takes up much less space than a stand alone grinder. If you’re ready to move away from the antiquated hand crank style grinder, and you own a KitchenAid, I highly recommend this affordable meat grinding attachment (unless you enjoy the arm workout, lol).
