My family is a bunch of Renaissance Faire dorks and my husband and son are into swords, so my husband wanted a dagger for his birthday...why, I have no idea, but I saw this and thought it was a great buy and bought it for him. He was very pleased!Nice looking dagger.Handle is on the smaller side...would work better for a female or a male with smaller hands. My husband is 6'9" and said it is a little uncomfortable for him to hold.Tip is sharp but the edges are not. It does look like you could probably sharpen them, though, if you were so inclined.The style of the hilt, handle, and sheath matches the sword he got for Christmas, so he was especially happy about that. :)Solid construction. Dagger has a good weight, so it appears to be well-made. The blade is stainless steel.Size is about 15.5 inches long.Comes with a scabbard, which is nice. The scabbard is black and trimmed in pewter, so it looks very nice.Overall we are happy with this purchase and would recommend it!

This is a really cool product I got. I am by no means a collector or expert, I'm just really into swords and knives and the like. I had already gotten the Knight's Dress Dagger from Amazon, and I was in the market for another "sidearm." This thing is perfect for it. It looks really good, and the picture doesn't do it justice. The blade comes quite shiny and almost unmarked (there is the word "stainless" written near the cross-guard, but it's so small that it's barely noticeable unless you're looking for it), and the whole thing looks very nice. The grip and sheath have a leathery-looking plastic on them that's comfortable to hold, and the metal parts other than the blade are made of a somewhat duller, more "real"-looking metal-- probably carbon steel as opposed to the stainless of the blade. It's also surprisingly balanced, sitting pretty well in my hand. It's very lightweight, so I wouldn't expect it to be too durable, but it's still nice. My only complaints are that the sheath is somewhat sticky on the inside (though unless you're going to be pulling this fast, which I don't recommend, that shouldn't be a problem) and that the hilt is quite small. The only reason it doesn't rest in my hand perfectly (see above) is that the grip isn't quite long enough; I pretty much have to put my index finger on the blade when holding it normally, and when I hold it backwards (with the pommel above my thumb and the blade protruding from under my little finger), I find my thumb and index finger have to move up and grip the ring pommel. These aren't very big deals, though, so it's still a really good knife!!!Note: It doesn't come sharp, if that matters to you.

I bought this dagger to carry at Renaissance Festivals. It looks the part, and seems to be well made. Good value at the price.

Looks cool, but the blade slips out of the handle a bit. It does stay in the sheath nicely though so overall it is a decent enough costume piece

If you are interested in a functional dagger, look elsewhere. If you are looking for an inexpensive costume piece, this is perfect. The scabbard and handle are cheap plastic, but they look really nice from a distance, which is all I needed. The cost of putting together a Halloween costume quickly gets out of hand, but this is a way to have a realistic look quite cheaply. The blade is a little sturdier than expected, so it actually could be dangerous if you let the kids play around with it too much, but it looks very nice and the kids think they have a real dagger. The sharply pointed tip on a heavy blade leads one to wonder what the manufacturer intended--it's obviously a toy, but a dangerous one. For responsible (or well-monitored) kids' costumes, it's perfect.It's not well-made or attractive enough for display.It probably wouldn't be suitable for serious adult costumes, like Renaissance fairs, either.

I purchased this for a photo prop. It looks ok, but I was very disappointed that I didn’t get the pattern in the pictures.

The dagger was much better than I was expecting. I had been hungering for a dagger for a while, and simply bought it for the sense of swinging it through my oxygen opponents. The packaging is cheesy, but the dagger is well made and sturdy enough to handle stabbing well (I was stabbing through cardboard, not people, so don't photoshop a Hannibal Lecter mask onto me), and the blade can handle blows. Over all, better than I expected and well worth the 10 bucks.

It should be obvious that this isn't a functional knife or blade of any kind. This is a costume accessory, and for that, it's perfect. At a glance, the scabbard housing looks leather-wrapped and bound with a metal boot. The pommel and eyelet look great without being as ornate as some costume pieces. For less than $15.00, you couldn't do better. Perfect as a costume sidearm. We'll use this to complete a female renaissance faire costume.I should note that for a responsible youth, this is a very safe blade. There is no edge at all (less than a butterknife), and hardly no point. I couldn't say "safe for kids" of course, but if you're worried about the blade being dangerous, it's no more so than a pencil and far less so than a pair of scissors.I think the size is spot-on for an item like this. At 5'10 and 170, it wouldn't look tiny hanging on my belt, but perfect for a dagger. On my girlfriend, who is 5'4, it doesn't look huge, either.

I bought them for filming, so they look great. As a weapon, they are a pointy stick. The blades aren't sharp, the point is, because of it's shape. If you wanted something to look good, this works, if you're wanting a weapon, this isn't that.

looks great. blade is shiny and edges are dull which is more than fine with me. great for a costume or decor.up close the black part of the handle looks and feels a bit cheapy-plasticy so i might dress it up a bit but overall nice piece.
