Maui JimMen's and Women's Kanaha Polarized Rimless Sunglasses

Some of my friends think I'm crazy for spending more than $30 on a pair of sunglasses. Other friends have paid more than $200 (which I think it crazy). I purchased these Maui Jim Makaha's because I liked the style, comfort (tried them on at the local Sunglass Hut), weight (or lack thereof), and price ($100-200 is my sweet spot).While you can go to almost any gas station or store and pick up a pair of polarized sunglasses, they aren't nearly as durable and the polarization is in a different direction. You can wear these all day, every day, more many, many years so long as you take care of them and don't let your 15-month-old son snap the frame. Fortunately, if that does happen, you can repair your MJ's by sending them in - It cost me $40 to get a new polycarb frame! So as has been said by many people before me, you get what you pay for. This is a perfect set of glasses to protect your eyes from the sun and has the durability to hold up to almost everything! One thing to note, and it has been noted several times before, some vehicles, not to mention names :cough: BMW :cough:, LCD screens can be filtered out where they appear off when they really aren't (mostly, the radio display). Also, in case you weren't aware, if you are a motorcyclist, be careful wearing any polarized glasses as it can make oil/slick spots on the roadway that are visible to the naked eye "disappear" and could cause you to go down (that's the nature of polarized glasses, though - it removes various reflections).

I was surprised at how light-weight these are. The fit extremely comfortable and the protection they provide is just perfect. I also love the look, but that's a personal preference. I bought these for after my LASIK surgery for driving and they have not disappointed. I have found that they also seem to fog up a lot less than my previous sunglasses did. The construction feels cheap at first glance, but when you wear them you understand light-weight does not equal cheap. The finish is just right and by far the most comfortable pair of glasses (eyeglasses OR sunglasses) I have ever owned.

I love sunglasses and own a ton but after visiting Hawaii years ago everyone out there wore maui jims...at first I was hesitant bc at the time I never heard of them and swore by Oakley and rayban but once I made the switch the quality difference was very noticeable. I probably have 6-7 pairs now and that's only brand I'll buy

This is my 3rd pair over the past 10 or so years of these sunglasses. I only replace them when I lose a pair, which is rare but it still happens. If they get scratched, I send them back to the factory for repair and always get awesome service and a great price. These fit perfect for me and are so light I forget I am wearing them. The tint is the perfect shade and given that I have sensitive eyes(due to a surgery) I wear these every single day of my life.

Exactly as described and at a lower cost than through the manufacturer. I always use Maui Jim sunglasses. In my opion they are the best, Stylish, comfortable and great for the eyes.

Ordered these as I'd had a pair in the past and wanted another pair. The ones I received appeared to be authentic, but were in an unsealed and open box and had some wear and scratches on the left lense. Sent back and went to an actual MJ retailer and purchased an unopened pair for the same price.

forse mi sbaglio ma sarà forse il quinto paio che compro della stessa marca, e ho detto tutto. polarizzazione eccellente. abbatte i riflessi e i fastidi della troppa luce consentendo d'avere una visuale più nitida e poter distinguere contorni. perfetti e stanno benissimo.

Best Sunglass ever. Was a long time Oakley user and have made the switch. The fit is perfect and are extremely light weight. blocks all types of glair. (sun, water and reflection from shinny metal. Great for under water.
