A cool little instrument...
For full disclosure, playing this thing made the tinnitus I have going into overdrive mode and I've found just can't play it. But I did play it for three evenings and it was a fun little instrument. I was able to get some interesting rhythms out of it and also some interesting sound effects (like the springy bong you get from the door stop sometimes). I would have loved to continue playing, but I have tinnitus that has been continuous for over a decade and this seemed to aggravate it. But that is not fault of the instrument's and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this to someone looking for something that doesn't cost much, that you can learn to play with a few evenings of practice, and that has a lot of potential to be a fun addition to your musical tools and talents.

Better than expected!
Great sound. Great volume if you want it. It’ll get loud! Unlike other “Jews Harps” that I own, this one will give you some nice harmonics and over-tones if you hum at the proper pitch. I’m definitely going to try some other sizes too.

Worth the $12 I guess
Fun little starter harp but I'd recommend something more expensive. Very soft sound that won't carry to far it you want loud and its a very soft metal that u dont expect will last very long with enough use. The small harp I have barely carried to the next room which was the big let down for me. I want to annoy lol

So funny, simple and great all in one!!!
Brought it to work for pre-shift stretch music!!! Hahahaha. It is great and very easy to use. Out of the package I was droppin' funky Jews harp solo's. I would get it for a kid as an introduction to musical instruments and see if they take up an interest in another instrument. Well made to!!

The best jaw harp.
These Jaw Harps are much, much easier to play than the more common, western style ones. These have a nice twang and range. You can also get it to sound continuously like a reed by blowing or inhaling air through the vibrator. You may need to give the vibrator a slight touch to get it to start sounding as you draw air over the vibrator to keep it sounding continuously. You can also easily perform voice effects by replacing the action of your vocal cords with the vibration of the reed. You can mouth words and get fairly intelligible speech. Finally, I can't tolerate the buzzing on my lips and teeth of the western ones, whereas these do not have that problem at all. I can play one all day without irritation So, if you have any interest in a Jew's Harp then you should have one of these. I plan to buy a few more.

It is oh so small
It is very very small and can be difficult to position to a large mouth, this Also makes it delicate and easy to bend out of shape if playing with spirit. With that said you can get an amazing variety of very interesting sounds from it. If it was a little larger I'd give it five stars

Delicate instrument that makes incredible sounds!!
I would recommend these to any musician or anyone trying to learn music. They are very easy to use. I have heard the sounds of these harps in a lot of music and I never knew what instrument, was making the sound. I recommend starting with the M size 1st. They are definitely worth the price and are well designed. They are delicate and must be handled so.

If you are allergic to nickel, be aware these lovely jaw harps contain 10% nickel
I LOVE THIS AWESOME LITTLE JAW HARP! But I have realized in the past few days as I have intensified my practice time, that I am suffering from an allergic reaction to the 10% nickel that the company says these jaw harps contain (see product description above). The allergy showed up as blisters on my lower lip where the harp is in constant contact with my skin. The allergy to the nickel in the harp has also triggered a bad cold sore... So, I would ask the company to add a notice to the product listing that people with NICKEL ALLERGIES should not purchase this. I hope this company has Dan Mois without nickel so I can buy some more since I really love the awesome sounds I'm already able to make with this one (to date... now I have to stop using it).
