Must Read For Any Martial Artist
I have read way too many martial arts books in my life and have studied multiple systems over the last 30 years ... since I was 3 or 4 years old! This book stands out as one of the best I have ever come across. It is clearly written, easy to follow, great photography and covers a wide range of topics that will be valuable to anyone studying any martial art system! In all my experiences with different Aikido, Karate, BJJ, Muay Thai and various grappling arts I have found Nihon Goshin Aikido as the best and most complete art in existence and this book is an authority on the subject!

The Art of peace! The secret is inside.
This book was very well written. My own experience thus far in Aikido is limited but i do have experience in other arts. Aikido is a very technical art. The author explains the technical side of his beloved art so well in his written word and it is so easily understood. He makes it so applicable. This book is a valuable asset to have if you are a beginner or a seasoned veteran. I am looking forward to returning to Aikido training in the near future. I would recommend this book to everyone! The author did a superb job in representing the art of Nihon Goshin Aikido. Enjoy!

Good introduction
While not an aikido practicitioner, there are some very good points made in this book. As a martial artist, there were many points in the book that I had heard before and a few insights that I hadn't thought of in a while.Of course, nothing substitutes for actual instruction with a practitioner but there is enough detail here for any martial artist to get a handle on techniques and start integrating concepts and ideas into their own style.

Must Read
IMHO I found this book to be very refreshing in its clarity and correct portrayal of one of the least known versions of Aikido. As one of the original NGA Black Belts (1973)I found this book to be spot on with what Mr.Bowe (Shihan) taught me when I was an NGAA active member (he was my sole instructor from 1964). I applaud the author's efforts in creating this book and encourage him to continue the writing of the book on the remaining classic techniques taught by Richard Bowe.

Outstanding Aikido Book
This book is extremely insightful to the elemental aspects of Aikido as well as illustrating the relatively unknown sister art of Nihon Goshin Aikido. In particular are the clear explanations for the Theory and Principles of AIki in Chapter 6, which is a fundamental essential for all practitioners' of Aikido, Judo or Jujutsu. Highly recommended for any martial artist !!! Andrew Frye - Sandia Judo

Very Informative
As a student of Nihon Goshin Aikido I purchased this book as soon as I learned about it. I was not disappointed. The author explains the history and other topics such as Ki in such a brilliant way that I have to suggest this to others who are currently practicing or want to in the future.

I am sorry i have to give it even 1 ...
I am sorry i have to give it even 1 star, the book seemed foreign to me, the author must of made up his own aikido style as a practionner of many years i was totally lost and had minimal knowledge of some of the termonology some names were new to me.

Great Addition to my Tactical Library!
I've been a student of the combat arts for over 18 years to include Military & Police training & experience. What a great book! I learned some new "tools" for the toolbox, and refer to this book often!
