Good stinger.
Like this stinger a lot. Very light and comfortable to use for daily welding. My company has very heavy old school lobster claw stingers, which kill your arms after 10 hours of daily welding. Only complaint is that I have to keep bending rods downward before welding. But otherwise, good product for the price.

Works better than the clamp style.
Easy to put on the welding cable and holds the electrodo tight. The hollow handle doesn't get as hot as some other holder options.

overall,it's a decent holder..where it grabs the rod,the inner piece could be wider,as there is a small gap on either side and you have to adjust smaller rod,3/32, so it'll grad firmly and not stick out cockeyed.....other then that, it seems pretty good...as for durability and sturdiness, that's yet to be determined as I just got it and used it for only an hour so far......

many month's after purchas finally got around to installing this twist lock " Hobart??" eletrode holder Original Hobart unit insulator broke Still worked well This one to get spent stub electrode out need to turn at least one full turnOr use plires to remove This defeats quick change and secure hold of original Hobart stick holder There is no brand name on this Amazon unit Seems likely a chinise copy that dose not work well > Will put in trash Very disapointed

One D@mn fine holder,
I can not say enough good things about this holder. Fast change by just a twist, comfortable to hold. Have always used the "clamp" type and needed a replacement. Decided to give this a try even though never use. Best money I have spent on a holder.If you are building up a welder or just need to replace your holder, this is the way to go.I have about 45 years welding experience and am really surprised I have never tried one.

Nice while it worked though
Lasted about three months then the top twisted off. I'm just a casual weekend warrior welder, no heavy or excessive use. Nice while it worked though.
