Watercolors Intense Color Depositing Shampoo, Semi Permanent Hair Color 8.5 oz - PINK

Had my hair dyed with Barbie-type pink and it faded quicker than I would’ve liked. Didn’t want to spend more money touching it up or buying more product to do it at home so I got this instead! It’s definitely not like a Barbie kind of pink but it is super bold and I actually like it a lot more! It is best on pre-treated (bleached/lightened) hair but the lighter hair gals out there shouldn’t have a problem getting some color on there either. The first photo was after one wash with the pink watercolor shampoo, the next photo was the third time I used it in a span of two days (once the first time, twice the second time). DONT wear a white shirt the day after washing it with the pink shampoo, it’ll run off if your hair is down. And yes, WEAR GLOVES. I read the reviews before buying, didn’t wear gloves because I figured I’d prefer to make the mistake myself. They were right. My nails and fingers were pink for 3 days. Only do this in your bathtub, the pink can stain your counters. I use Dawn Powerwash to get the pink stains off the tub. Works like a charm👍🏼

Ah i love this stuff so much! I’ve been using it for 3 years. It’s the most vibrant pink color ever and it’s long lasting. If you like to change your hair color a lot then i would probably stick to Arctic Fox dyes. This is very pigmented and will even stain your hands and finger nails. If you have nice nails, wear gloves! It usually washes off my hands within a day or normal hand washing. I bleach before using this to get the brightest version of this color. It always ships wrapped up to prevent leaking. I can’t recommend this brand more. I get so many compliments and people wonder how i keep my hair so bright all the time. This product is so easy to use as i use it in the shower and takes less than 5 minutes.

Great product! I tried arctic fox and strawberry leopard before trying this product. Both cost me just under $20, were messy to apply and faded with the first wash so reapplication was necessary after the first week. I wash my hair once a week. On a recommendation, I tried this stuff. And my hair has been vibrant purple for over a month now, and I’m still using the same bottle. You have to be careful to wash the color off the shower immediately. I do this while I let the color set. I usually wash my hair about three times and do a deep condition, as it is a little on the sting side. Overall, this is the best way to affordable keep my color.

I’ve used various color depositing conditioners to touch up my hair over the years. They never work very well and I end up having to re-dye my hair every month. Pink is notoriously short lasting in hair. Since using this shampoo once a week/every other time I wash, I actually don’t have to touch up my hair every month any more. It deposits enough pigment every wash to keep my hair bright. It’s great for maintenance but I can’t speak to how well this works by itself as a hair full on hair dye. My only complaint is that the packaging is terrible. No matter how many times I clean the outside, it leaks all over the tub. I had to put it in a plastic cup. Also, be aware that since this product is incredibly pigmented, it will temporarily stain the inside of the shower and your hands. It’s been a week since I last used it and I still have pink under my nails. This seems to be the most economical depositing shampoo on Amazon but I might try another one just to compare. This form of coloring is definitely superior to the conditioner versions. Those don’t seem to penetrate the hair as well due to the formula.

This shampoo helps retain the color longer in between hair salon appointments for those with auburn/red hair. I mix it in with my regular shampoo.

Great to maintain my color, but also smells great and helps keep my hair healthy.

It gave such a refreshing look to my tired old lady white gray hair. Several people commented on how pretty it was, but they couldn't put their finger on what it was they saw. Others who did not know me even complemented how beautiful my mid back length white hair was. I will shampoo another few times to see if I can get the color to develop more intensely. At my age of 61 I have admired the color photos of older women who have their hair artic ice blue but fearful to try a permanent change but now this shampoo is giving me some baby steps to take to deepen the color to see how it fares. I hope to find someone I can trust who can do my color in the artic ice blue. The shampoo is drying initially; however, the results are worth it. So be sure once you shower and shampoo to have a really good OLD towel you don't mind staining and a leave in conditioner and hair treatment to leave on for some time to intensely detangle and soften the hair and give it shine. I was irritated upon arrival as the packaging was a bubble envelop and within there was a very thin bubble plastic cover??? When I opened it, the lid was busted, and color was everywhere and on me. However, I called Amazon immediately and their customer service was supreme! After I reported the issue, they promptly sent me another at no charge. I did suggest to Amazon that whoever packs the product needs to pack in a box with proper packing materials. Be careful as the color easily goes everywhere and gets on everything! It stains fingernails and hands for a little while so use gloves and avoid at all costs getting any of it on anything other than your hair! I would suggest that you keep it in your shower and leave it there!

I’m torn on this review. I used the people color depositing shampoo for Halloween and it turned out a really pretty purple. My natural hair is lightened to about a level 7 with highlights at a level 9. The highlights picked up a really intense purple, while the darker areas were less intense. I tried to wash it out the next day - less than 24 hours after applying. Even after using clarifying shampoo and lots of other tricks found online, it faded but didn’t fully wash out. Five days and more than a dozen washes later, I still have some light purple and pink color in my highlights. And the darker areas have retained enough color that they have an auburn cast now. I bought this thinking it was a good option for temporary color but if you’re looking for something that washes out easily this may not be for you.

I love this product. It allows you to have fun with your hair, without having to commit to a permanent dye job. It is also great for upkeep on hair that was dyed purple. I only works on hair that has been bleached, or very very blonde.

I had used semi-permanent dye to dye my bleached hair pink and purple. The pink didn't make it through 3 washings, but the blue element from the purple did. After one use, this product completely revived both. I can't use hair dye for the next little while, so I am so grateful for this wonderful product. I was feeling ratty before I was able to use this, and it worked perfectly on my bleached hair. 10/10, would try any of their other products.

I'm really happy with this product. I tried another blue colours depositing shampoo and my hair fell and smelled terrible after using it. This product just feels like shampoo. I put it in at the start of my shower and rinse it off at the end (aftet about 5 minutes). It puts a lot of colour on the sections of hair I had lightened and puts a blue cast on my grey hair, which I kind of like. But it's pretty much gone after 3 washes with regular shampoo. I don't know how much effect it would have on darker hair.

This works perfectly and kept my hair pink without having to go back to the salon. The only issue is the lid became loose and leaked pink all over the tub and looks like a troll has died in there. I'd still buy it again but would keep it in a separate bin to avoid the leakage
