2022: This Anthony's Xylitol is no longer made in the USA. Proof of it is that the company conspicuously took the "Made in USA" stamp (circle) out of the front of the package. It is probably imported from China where they can buy it cheaper, thus bigger margin... I for one, wouldn't buy it if it comes from China, where QC is poor....

Q: Does it have any cooling effect when used in baked goods?

If you put some on your finger and taste it, it has a slight cooling effect. Once it is in the recipe, I no longer notice it. Good with coffee and chocolate recipes, and I bet it would enhance anything you might be using mint flavoring in though for this reason.

Xylitol is a sugar alcohol that tastes very much like sugar but doesn’t spike glucose levels. Can have a laxative effect in some people. Also has a positive effect on teeth. Healthy alternative to sugar.
