Oh where do I start!! What a nice upgrade these were. Great looking and rolling tire. Great traction and wear. They are very lite and durable with the EXO sidewalls. They mounted on my Stans Flow EX TR rims without tools and held air for months with no sealant added yet. Also they inflate the first time very easily with a hand pump. No need for an air compressor or to have a shop install, at least with stans TR rims and this size.

This is a great tire for all types of mountain biking adventures. They allow for good control and confience while cornering, but at the same time are pretty fast rolling. I do a lot of Florida single track, therefore, not a lot of downhill. Florida is full of ups and downs, wooden features, and long cross country style trails. These tires have weathered it all. They do great on climbs as well as tricky downhill features. These are a huge upgrade from the stock tires my entry level hardtail came with.

Used this on my my new wheelset (Bontranger Aluminum Comp) and love them. Much better than the Bontranger XR2 that came on my bike. They do well on most trail surfaces except sand. Other than sand, they do the job well and aren't too heavy either. They take a beating on the trail and I've never had any problems with thorns and such (I run tubeless). Also the rear tire had to be replaced a little over 3000 miles. Highly recommend.

It depends on where you ride but I have found this to be my go to tire. It has the profile when I brake hard that this tire really grabs before skidding and I like the side nobs for cornering. The deal on this was great at $30 a tire plus $7.50 shipping. It took a while to get to the USA Washington state from Italy but considering customs and post office this was a great deal fro a great tire.

I had maxxis rekon tires originally on my mtb when I first got it.Since I mainly ride my bike on asphalt and pavement. The center wore down rather quickly.I switched to a smooth tire, which was much quieter. However, felt slow due to the lower tire pressure.I bought these maxxis ardent’s and I am quite happy. They roll fast, they’re quiet on hard surfaces, and they grip well in turns and wet weather!They arrived faster than expected even though I am in Japan and they came from stateside. Packaged nicely and looked the same as advertised!Can’t go wrong with these tires if you’re shopping for new ones!

Installed these on a 2009 Specialized Saffire FRS Comp. These tires give this bike a modern look and feel! We ran these tires tubeless without issue. Would definitely recommend.

Tire has grip,grip,and more grip. Don't expect to ever run any other tire but the Ardent. Running the 29x2.25 on the front and rear of my 2013 Stumpjumper Elite and these tires do not disappoint. I ride in southeast where it is loose over hard-packed and often muddy and damp trails, These tires perform flawless, carry more speed thru corners, rolls really good, and a lot less braking, best of both worlds. Anyone that says these tires do not hook up probably don't know how to setup or simply can't ride. I run tubeless with 27 psi in front and about 30 in rear, same setup as the stock Purgatory tires and there is really no comparison. Ardent is the way to ride, try them out.

Perfect fit on my bike. Easy to install. Swapped these out for the 29x1.95 that I ran down to the wires in the tred. Close space fit on back tire so watch for size if your going up on width. Initial ride shows bike handles very well on straight and turns. Mostly ride on surface streets, sidwalks and hard pack trails, so these will be perfect.
