I have a couple crops and like this best. The fact that the flapper on the hitting end is a leather loop rather than a double layered flap makes it a bit less stingy. In other words this flapper is like getting hit with the middle of a doubled over light belt where the Dom is holding on to the two ends. Getting hit with the two ends would bite more. Also the rounded loop at the end doesn't mark the skin as much as the crops with the two layered flaps. My other crop can leave distinctive teardrop shaped marks for up to a week if used with force. I doubt this one would. So either kind can be fun.Regardless of which kind you choose, beware of crops where the shaft extends into the flapper very close to the tip. Getting hit with the shaft part is like getting hit with a cane and will definitely leave a welt. The fun of a crop is being able to deliver (or experience) a sharp sting in fun places with the flapper alone. Enjoy!

Has a nice snap to it. It seems to be made a little flimsily but should hold up for a few 'rides'. The horse seems to enjoy it.

Its looks good. One complaint: is not 18” long, is only 17”. They should correct the description.(The item is marked 18”)

Bought two riding crops, this was the better quality of the two by far. Equally priced too. I reccomend this.

It was as shown and described in the information section. It works well and is serviceable. I wish I had realized it is so short though. I would definitely purchase it again but also a longer one.

Not the real thing, more like a child’s toy, very small.

It comes fast. I really like it and it doesn't feel cheap. It not flexible so you don't have the impression that you will break it when you use it.

It looks short, but works well. It makes a nice crisp sound and provides a nice sensation to the person receiving which is different from other implements. The flap is a solid piece of leather, which works very well. the stem is wrapped in something, maybe a synthetic fabric. It's much nicer than the plastic stems I've seen on other products. I took off a star because the stem seems to have come out of the handle a bit. It moves in and out. I'm not sure if it's supposed to, but nothing a little glue can't fix. Might have been because we got a little carried away with it ;)Update: After a few months of moderate use, the handle came off. So, not impressed with that. I was however able to fix it with hot glue, by covering the shaft and then sliding the handle into place.
