Best academic books!
Best academic books by far! Really helped my daughter get ahead of all her classmates.

Good for extra skill practice for children or adults
There are no explanations of how to do the sums but...I had a second hand copy of another of these and was impressed with it as most books I feel are too simplistic with limited skills practice and I can't seem to find the thick ones thorough ones like I used as a kid. I photocopied pages I want him to complete (only our use) so he isn't overwhelmed with print/work due to him being a little young to work through.

A little daunting at first but ok once you get going
Simple yet effective reinforcement of maths skills. Ideal to use whilst away from home or as a supplementary resource, there is not enough of an explanation or sufficient activities in the book for the child to learn a new concept from this book alone. As that it is not why I purchased it, I am still more than happy. Only criticism would be that this book is completely black and white and pages are presented as lists of sums which before my daughter got started she found off putting.

Lots & lots of basic maths practice.
As a maths tutor, it's important to have lots of practice questions on hand, so that the tutee has to work harder than you do. That's how they learn. These books are great and can be used with weaker pupils all the way up to 16-18 years-old.
