This is very sturdy. Hold the heavy kitchen aid mixer nicely. Very sturdy. Recommend if you don’t want to drag your mixer out all the time.

The product does indeed fit in the minimum space required!
This product does not deserve all the negative reviews, the product is "as advertised", straight forward to install and fits in narrow standard cabinets. I installed mine in a corner cabinet, the opening is 27-1/2" high, 13-1/2" wide and cabinet is 23-1/4" deep. Because it is a corner cabinet, the door interferes and I had to build out the support on the right hand side another 1-1/2" beyond the right edge of the opening. Otherwise I followed the instructions exactly as stated. My final lift shelf dimension ended up being 19" deep and 9" wide, perfect fit for our mid-size KitchenAid mixer. There is plenty of room underneath to store cutting boards and even some space on the right for storing cookie sheets. Cabinets are never perfectly square, so after installing and leveling the lift shelf (WITH the mixer on the shelf, per instructions), the two arms were not perfectly parallel; however, using a pair of clamps allowed me to perfectly align the brackets with the lift shelf so I could attach it. Once attached brackets stayed perfectly alligned! On installation, note the screw holes indicated for the initial install: the far back and center and the front slotted hole, 2nd from front. This can be accessed through the frame without the arm still in the “up” position. Also note that the support mounted in the cabinet must butt up against the front face to accommodate the front screws on final assembly. So there is no need to open/close the bracket until after it is attached.

LOVE IT, LOVE IT, LOVE IT
This product is a very heavy duty mixer shelf. My husband actually installed it in a cabinet that had a drawer over the door. If you are going to do this, make sure you measure carefully as the mixer shelf will take up the entire lower cabinet--from top to bottom. You need to allow room for the height of the mixer and for the fact that the mechanism swings all the way to the bottom of the cabinet. If you install in a cabinet with a drawer over it, please consider that the shelf for the mixer will not come up to the height of the counter top, but it will be approximately 4-5 inches below the counter top. I have a large 6-quart Kitchen Aid mixer which is quite tall and I am only 5'1" tall, so it works perfectly for me. It is actually at a more workable level for me than when it was sitting on the counter top. We found that installing it with this set up meant that the mixer would have to sit parallel to the counter due to the height restriction of having a drawer over the cabinet. The instructions were excellent and my husband said they were easy to follow. It does take a long time to install because you'll need to do a lot of precise measuring. My cabinets are white and we used a 3/4" thick x 15 3/4" deep piece of white prefinished shelving from Home Depot and my husband cut it approximately 20 1/2" long and left the 15 3/4" side uncut. The shelving works great because it is the recommended 3/4" thick and is finished on three sides. He placed a 2" high piece on the 15 3/4" backside as a 'backsplash' so that I can store attachments there and they won't slip off the shelf and end up in the back of the cabinet. The delivery was so quick we couldn't believe it. This device will be a God-send for me and I look forward to never again having to lift that heavy mixer from my cabinet.

Installed under a working drawer !
The media could not be loaded. First, 1 star deducted because of two significant issues:a) the directions need significant improvement:- inconsistent between what's on the internet and what arrives in the box- lack a number of critical dimensions in the technical drawings; I had to scan it at a high resolution and then using the scale of that drawing, estimate other dimensions that I needed to know- the drawings themselves are too small; I'm not sure if the manufacturer is trying to save paper but those drawings need to be a full page each instead of <1/4- they fail to warn you about critical issues such as corner blocks and hinges in your cabinet, that might get in the way; the video online shows a piece-of-cake installation because the cabinet itself is unfinished and sitting out in the open; of course that is not at all real worldEven the standard installation is not an easy one (mine under a drawer is a lot harder) and (both) would benefit much more detailed instructions and dimensions than are given.(b) the left support, the spring-loaded mechanism that is supposed to pull the latch into the locked position is binding. It does not reliably pull the latch into the locked position. It is a construction flaw that could also cause a significant safety issue by allowing the loaded shelf to fall.I should probably deduct 2 full stars, however they earned a little bit of credit by having a technical person reply within 1 business day to an email with some helpful information. The rest of my review is best understood by viewing the video and the series of pictures. At completion, the lift is working correctly except for the issue noted above, even though it is loaded with a very heavy shelf and a very heavy mixer. The total weight of both combined is a little over 50 lb. You have to adjust the tension setting to account for this of course, but it is working correctly. The soft-close mechanism handles even that much weight. This could be used for other kitchen appliances like a bread-maker, slow-cooker, etc. that might otherwise not be used very often because they hide down in a cabinet.
