Very helpful for plantar fasciitis. It gave me some relief when standing and walking. Nice and tight.

Relief at last for a previously broken foot!!!
I broke my foot two years ago (5th metatarsal fracture) and it still pains me to this day. I most likely needed surgery, but I had a terrible ortho doc who told me, "If you were a high performance athlete, I would put a screw in it. But you'll be okay". I was stupid not to get a second opinion, especially since I was a runner. I have not been able to run since the injury - the pain it causes me is too great. This was heartbreaking, but I ended up practicing yoga instead. As I became stronger, my foot, for some reason, became quite irritated. Standing postures on my left foot became harder and harder to do because it was so painful. I knew I had to do something, but I was too scared to see another doc. I researched foot supports and found this little nugget on Amazon. It is amazing! Who would have thought a little band could bring so much relief! I would only take half a star off, if I could, because it does tend to slip down during my yoga practice and if I am wearing it with sandals. But honestly, it's still worth taking 5 seconds to stop and adjust it. I feel like I can't live without this band now, it feels so wonderful! I still have yet to see another doc, but I am glad this is helping support and soothe my poor foot before I get that second opinion. FYI, I wear a size 7.5 in women's and it fits like a tight little glove. It may feel a little too tight at first, but it stretches out just a little bit. It is washable too, so it won't get overly stretched out if you throw it in the dryer.

they work for me
I didn't think these would help me, but to my surprise, i like them a lot. Most shoes don't have sufficient arch support for me, and although i have tried numerous arch pads, most are not shaped right for my feet. That's why i tried these bandages, and I have found they make my shoes a lot more comfortable and decrease my knee pain. I don't wear them with sandals or pumps because they are very noticeable. I have worn them only with shoes that cover them completely, like my cross trainers and other closed shoes i wear with socks in the winter. They don't come with instructions, and i almost gave up on them because they were so uncomfortable at first, but i did learn a few things through trial and error: 1. They are extremely tight at first. My feet are narrow, AA to AAA width, but i found these bandages to be so tight it felt like my feet were cramping. I kept thinking, how could people with normal width feet wear these? then I found that that where i placed the seam made a big difference in how tight they felt on my feet. I also found that they do relax a bit after wearing them a few times. 2. The aforementioned seam - each bandage has a seam, and one side of it is covered to make it smooth. At first i didn't pay attention to where i put that seam, and it really hurt when i put it in the wrong place and/or wore it inside out! Also, the bandage felt tighter when the seam was at the top of my foot. I found the most comfortable place for the seam is against the arch of each foot, wearing the covered side of the seam on the inside, directly against my foot. 3. I also found that i can't wear them over socks; must wear them under socks. 4. They wash nicely. i wash them in the handwash cycle of my washing machine in one of those zippered laundry bags for delicates, in cold water, and let them air dry. They didn't draw up after washing in this manner. 5. They have not made my feet too warm or sweat more than normal. However, I have only worn them in the winter. All in all, I am very happy with this purchase.

Bandage for ONE foot, NOT A PAIR
UPDATE June 2015: In a rush to get to "check out" I searched for Arch Bandage and this popped up as an item I had purchased before. (It would be great if Amazon linked your rating to the "ordered before" reminder.) My fault that I gave this company more money, I should have read the fine print — except there isn't even fine print to warn you that you will be paying double if you have two feet. I can see that PediFix has made one modification, when you turn the bandage so that the white bias tape is inside you get to see a printed number on the top of your foot or the seam, thanks guys! That is a stellar example of forethought and concern for the customer. Still over priced. Still over packaged. Still not clearly described on Amazon. It is my fault that I failed to see the "1 bandage on the photo. But Amazon customers should Not Have To Hunt For Hidden Info and the fact that this is a single item for one foot — not a Pair like feet usually come in — is STILL NOT MENTIONED in the description anywhere as of this date. "Size: Pack of 1" Means a Bandage for ONE foot, NOT A PAIR. Arch bandages are still a 5-star concept; however, for all the reasons listed below and making their product even less attractive, Pedifix is now a 1-star execution of that concept. ORIGINAL REVIEW: Don't need additional support or cushioning with Arch Bandages, BUT THERE ARE BETTER BRANDS AND COLORS OUT THERE! Great with flip flops and every other shoe I've tried! (Injuries have made my feet less tolerant of... being ignored in favor of enjoying life.) Arch Bandages are fantastic -- discovered that I don't need any additional support or cushioning under the foot or arch when I wear these things! Arch bandages are a 5-star concept; however, for several reasons Pedifix is a 2-star execution of that concept. Pedifix Arch Bandage sizing is very inconsistent -- one set of two that I bought are extremely tight, even on a female size 6! Strangling tight! They don't have to be extremely tight to do their job, and being over-tight might be an issue for people with circulation problems. Personally, if I had circulation issues I would consult my doctor before I used these things. SHOULD Come in pairs! That should be a given, right??? *Looks down, one, two. To the right... one, two. Left... one, two, three, four -- ah ha, no arches! ...Sorry Mr Cat, you don't count on this one!* What's with that ancient-bandaid color? It looks like you're trying to use a bad-skin-tone color to camouflage your foot thingy. ...Thought we had progressed beyond those old tannish tones. Over Priced (These guys need to take a long hard look at FlexaMed Arch Bandage Amazon -- far superior in too many ways to list.) ...and Over Packaged -- do we really need a cute little plastic box??? One of those two issues probably accounts for the other. If Pedifix fixs the quality control, over-pricing, and over-packaging issues I will recommend them as a color alternative, until then I'm going with the competition.

So-so.
Performance: okay - it helps a little. Quality/Value: for what it is, it was pretty pricey. Seller should include one for each foot at this price. Seller rating: needs improvement. In addition to the above comment about price, I ordered the one for light skin and received the dark color instead.

I am a doctor myself and had been suffering with arch pains for a very long time due to laxity of ligaments and falling arches. Walking used to be painful. This product caught my eye when my physiotherapist asked me to try strapping my arches with a tape. I have now been using this product regularly now. It is really good. Even my physiotherapist took notice of this product.
