This tall girl LOVES her new manual treadmill!!
I'm not really sure if I just lucked out after reading some of these negative reviews or if I just had a better idea of what I was buying for the money but this was a GOOD buy. It went together great, it runs smoothly, the display/wires work just fine and I made sure to use the spray lubricant (as advised) under the belt and it just couldn't work better for a manual treadmill priced at only $109! It's small, compact, attractive and it gives me a better workout than the electric treadmills at the Y in about half the amount of time (probably because you do all of the work yourself, at an incline). I honestly don't know what some of these reviewers have had to complain about if it came working as described all while saving them money on their electric bill. The description, dimensions, price, etc. is all listed right here. I guess my only advice (other than using the spray & following the directions to a T) would be to make sure to read all of the info provided here (along with the reviews) before making the purchase and chancing having buyers remorse. If you don't mind working harder and follow the directions provided, I would think you would be just as happy with your purchase as I am. Also, I should state that I weigh 150lbs and am 5'10" with shoes on and that the size compatability was my one and only concern after reading through everything. Thankfully I ordered it anyway and it works perfect for me! This is a great piece of equiptment for someone who's serious about wanting to be/stay fit and healthy. I probably wouldn't recommend it for someone over 6' (or the elderly just because of how fast it can move/no emergency stop, etc.) but if you don't mind modding it a bit to give it that little bit of extra height, as some reviewers have stated that they've done or as long as you're not too uncomfortable with bending more while running/walking, it could still be a great buy for you too.

DO NOT BUY! DEFECTIVE AND USELESS!
It took only 2 hours from the time UPS delivered this item till I dropped it off at the UPS store to be returned. I wonder if that is some kind of record. Here are the problems: 1. The incline is way too steep even on the low setting. 2. The belt tension adjustments are useless and do not effect the unit at all. (At least as far as I could tell) 3. The belt makes walking impossible and you must run in order to keep the belt moving. This is related to problem 2 above. 4. Most important of all..... The handlebars are way too short and anyone over 5 feet tall will have to hold on and hunch over in order to use this thing at all. The minute you let go, you instantly fall off! I had to hold on to the bars like I was a patient in a rehab facility trying to learn how to walk again. This is a totally useless piece of junk and should be taken off the market. If I were to try and use this thing I would create a permanent and long lasting back injury and I would have a bent spine for the rest of my life.

UPDATED 11.06.2013 -- TIMELY ARRIVAL, EASY ASSEMBLY, GREAT WORKOUT!
The treadmill arrived properly package and undamaged, all parts were present and securely arranged and covered to prevent marring etc. I spent 25 minutes unpacking everything and approximately 15 minutes for the assembly with minor adjustments. For the price this is a sturdy machine which happens to be replacing a Bollinger Manual Treadmill whose belt give up its life after about twenty years. Should I receive the service out of this treadmill as I did the Bollinger unit I will be more than pleased. I elected a manual treadmill over the motorized versions because I want to perform all of the work and receive the best benefits that offers. Secondly, manual treadmills with fixed inclines simulate hiking up hill for more realistic effects. This model Stamina InMotion Manual Treadmill offers two incline levels 8 and 10 degrees for more or less resistance. I rarely give five stars on any product because there is always room for improvement, this product is no different. Although I do not trust the electronics just yet. On my Bollinger Manual Treadmill the electronics accurately time, speed, miles walked. But the electronics for the Stamina InMotion Manual Treadmill time seems accurate, speed, distance and calories do not match readings of my Bollinger. On the Bollinger I walk one mile every 15 minutes, on the Stamina only 2 miles in sixty minutes. My pace is the same on both treadmills at the same incline -- I will investigate the readings more and report back after additional experience with the Stamina InMotion Manual Treadmill -- until then I am pleased with the machine. Pros: Approximate 50 pounds, folds away, easily moves about with the built-in wheels, small compact, solidly built, easy assembly, easy adjustments, well lubricated, love the Pewter Grey, Black colors, reasonable price, quick delivery, and well packaged. The tread belt remains center, well lubed, solid inclines, attractive. Cons: Handles are a tad low as I am six feet tall but not uncomfortably so. I can stand erect or with a slight lean forward for increased workout. As mentioned above I question the accuracy of the electronics other than the timer. At present I merely have an hour of workout time on the Stamina InMotion Manual Treadmill. This will surely change soon as I put in a minimum of 2 hours three days a week with intentions of increasing days in August. These treadmills are a great way to increase stamina, balance, back issues and mental health. Thank you for reading my review, I pray it is helpful to you. God Bless and Good Health! *** UPDATE *** I am posting this update in the event others may have experienced similar results with included electronic monitor. Forty miles over 19 hours (not in one session -- LOL) under my belt on treadmill less data stolen from me when monitor died. I was having problems with the electronic monitor failing on me and losing my earned data. Rechecking the cabling, reinstalling fresher batteries etc.... Everything would start as normal, after minutes everything lost again. This is highly frustrating however a little patience once in a peaceful state again I deduced the problem resided within the battery compartment. Placing a small folded piece of paper on inside of the battery cover filling slack, no data loss since I made this small enhancement. NOTE: Customer Care needs improvement, I was never able to speak with a live person. Call their number three different times, a voice recording dictated same information each time. I opted to investigate on my own, solved issue myself. I am tempted to remove a star because I could not reach a live person...BUT...I am happy with the machine therefore keeping star rating the same. *** UPDATE 10/2013 *** I have now reduced the star rating as the monitor for this treadmill has failed -- it is DEAD -- I have contacted the manufacture as the product is still under warranty via email. I have received only one response and my other emails have been ignored. I will email them one more time and it the monitor is not replaced I will be contacting the Attorney General's Office and if necessary additional legal action may ensue. I understand products fail but companies need to stand behind what they sell. *** UPDATE 11/2013 *** I gave the manufacture one more chance to make things right via email without any threat of legal action. Though it was slow going manufacture stood behind their product and send me a new meter for the treadmill. Once they stated they would replace the dead meter I had replacement within a few days. I am very happy this did not turn into a lengthy battle. Because manufacture made good on their warranty I have return my rating back to four stars. DIGITAL SIGNATURE I like to close my reviews with a THANK YOU because I do appreciate you investing your precious time in reading my material. Your comments are always welcome and I make every attempt to reply to comments as time permits. Again THANK YOU for the opportunity to aid you in spending your hard earned money wisely. I am not employed or receive any compensation by the manufacture or any organization promoting this product or additional hardware. I hereby extend to you a plethora of blessing of good health and welling being. Bless you all. 2013 Copyrighted by Dr. Gary Drury

Great for small areas can be intense
I got this with hesitation from reviews. I am over weight by about 50lbs and out of shape. I needed something that was quiet and doesnt take a lot of space. This treadmil was very easy to put together took maybe 20 minutes counting opening the package and reading instructions. (3 pieces you screw together) For being out of shape its intense for me because it is on an incline no matter what. Its a little awkward at first but a good work out you do have to hold on to the rails though the slide is to steep and fast not to. I broke a sweat in 6 minutes! It folds up very nice and light weight for moving. You can run just have to hold on unless you have better balance than me lol. Its worth what you pay for it in all honestly you want to pay less you get less. Its simple but its effective.

There's a bit of a learning curve on this one, but once you get it figured out and get the belt tension right, it's a fantastic workout that's a lot harder than walking or running on a motorized treadmill or on the actual ground.

There is no flat walking platform, all inclines so have to hang on causing tension in arms and shoulders. The item I received had a very.loud creaking noise, very annoying , couldn't hear TV.

Shipping was fast. Took 5 minutes to assemble, simple and easy most of it is done already. Folds up well, fits a very reasonable amount of space. Does exactly what I thought it would do , smooth* from walking to jogging to sprinting does it all very well. There is one flaw, otherwise I would have given it a 5 stars. The one flaw is the running belt needs to be * adjusted * quite a bit for me otherwise it starts to sorta grind against the side. Now the grind doesn't SEEM to hurt the belt as the belt seems fairly strong, but when it grinds it makes a grinding noise which isn't too loud but eh, lame enough. For me it seems every 1 minute or so I gotta give the belt a kick to the left , only for it to go back grinding on the right again in about 1 minute. Otherwise this treadmill is AMAZING for the price and space and considering it is manual. Also if anyone happens to know a fix to my grinding issue please drop a comment it would be greatly appreciated.

Technically not a bad treadmill but the flywheels are squeaky. The walking is not as smooth as I would like. It kind of goes smooth one round and jerks the next. I did all the necessary alignments and adjustments for belt tension but still very squeaky. Wiped down the board, added a little lubricant and yet nothing. Can’t walk even for 1 minute without the squeaking sound. Maybe I got a bad one but I will be returning this and purchase another brand maybe. It is a nice compact manual treadmill. But too squeaky for me.

While walking or Jogging more pressure come on biceps. Instead of building stamina, seems like building biceps and arms. It's not worth money spent.
