I read a lot of the reviews of this shirt. The good ones and the bad ones. My experience is that the shirt was great for the small price I paid. It is a typical cotton blend shirt (pretty comfortable) with generally good workmanship. It can be buttoned or used with studs (cheap plastic ones are provided but I bought a nice set to use).The bad reviews...about the cheap studs or the quality of the shirt or whatever...seem to be from people who don't have a clue what to expect for less than $20. I wore the shirt (with the new set of studs) to a black tie event and it was perfect. Comfortable. Attractive. Exactly what I wanted.I would definitely buy it again. Only thing...it is not a tailored or slim fit shirt. So it fit a bit big on me in the torso. But it was under my tux jacket so no one could tell.

It had been some time since I've needed a formal shirt, and I don't wear them often, so I didn't want to spend too much money. This shirt was a good value at its price. I am a large man with long arms. I often have difficulty finding dress shirts that fit both my neck size (18.5) and sleeve length (37). It seems like manufacturers assume that if your neck is large, then you're short and fat; or if your arms are long, then you're thin. Not so with this Neil Allyn shirt. It fit me really well and I like the convertible cuff. I can wear cuff links, or button it if I choose. Very happy with the purchase.

Nice shirt, but I should have read the sizing chart! if you have a big neck for your body size, this shirt might end up a bit poofy. For example, I wear a 32/33 sleeve and am an XL fit, but to get the 19 inch neck size, I received a 3XL. Need this for a wedding so I will hide this under the coat with some pins, because that's what I gotta do since I did not order soon enough to have it tailored.What I do like: button sleeves (no cufflinks needed), full collar.Why I rated it only 4 stars: loose button stud hole threads, tiny damage from pins in packaging.

Good quality of material, fits well, color is awesome, comfortable and it is worth to buy.

Great quality and service, the shirt is of top quality and fitted well, alsothe top button has a small stretch elastic which is great for comfort and fits your neck well, and bow tie is great, the delivery was fast, only thing was the shirt picture shows bow tie (which is not included) you need to purchase that separately I had asked other buyers and 4 said NO and 1 said Yes, so I brought the bow tie its only $6 and is decent, there is also fitted black button's down the front of shirt, so no need for separate black button's to add, overall great deal and looks real smart, it's for my son's wedding next month so I am thrilled with the purchase.

The pleats are crisp, the shirt is comfortable, and it looked fantastic under my tuxedo jacket. It comes with plastic studs to look good in the package. Remove them to use your own, or use the buttons like a regular shirt. The cuffs require cufflinks. The collar button is on a short elastic so it has a small amount of stretch to it.I just returned from a 15 day cruise and there were 3 formal nights. On the first night, the shirt fit fine. Half way through the cruise on the second formal night, the shirt collar was feeling tight. On the 14th night, and final formal night, I left the collar button undone and used my bowtie to keep the collar closed. Did you know that shirts didn't originally have collar buttons and ties were used to hold the shirt closed on the top? I paid homage to history to compensate for the shrinking collar (which might have had something to do with all the extra eating I did).

While the product is listed as being available in half inch neck sizes, e.g., 16, 16.5, 17, 17.5, the product is made in neck sizes M, L, and XL. I ordered the 17 inch neck and received a shirt with an XL neck size, much too large. So I had to return it for a different size. The vendor should be more honest about what is shipped so the consumer can make the correct decision. The product itself is fine and reasonably priced, but it's just another example of caveat emptor, buyer beware.
