RhythmTech TC4010 10-Inch True Colors Tambourine, Black

I bought this for my mom for Christmas when she mentioned wanting a tamborine after watching the music video for Turn Turn Turn by The Byrds. Its just a fun little instrument and so worth the look on my moms face when she tries to imitate The Byrds and play along to their music. I read in reviews that people use this a lot in church. I've personally never been to a church that will let you make a bunch of noise during service (?) but that sounds like a lot of fun too! I don't see any reason why this tamberine wouldn't be perfect for that. It's not too heavy but not for kids either. The handle is comfortable and the sound is good. It's perfect for someone who wants to add a little something extra to their music listening or dancing.

I bought this for a Stevie Nicks costume and it worked perfectly. I'm not a tambourine expert but I was surprised something so high quality was this inexpensive. It's nicer than any tambourine I've ever encountered? We ended up keeping it out because it's so fun to play along with music and really adds to the vibe if someone is playing guitar at the same time. A+ would recommend!

It jingles and sounds like metal and plastic. Shockingly. I got it for my mom for Christmas, deciding color was better than sound quality. I was totally right in her case. She plays it when "jamming" with friends, and sometimes in church. I would go for a better-sounding one if I were looking for a musician-quality tambourine, though. This one's a bit "harsh" since it doesn't have any bumpers for the disks.
