Does What It Intends To Do
My husband and I lift heavy at least 3 times per week, and on warmer days, we were struggling with our grip on the bar when our hands were getting sweaty (we have our setup in our garage, which is not air conditioned, so it can get pretty hot out there during the summer/early fall months). I bought some gloves to see if that would help, but those ultimately impeded my fingers range of motion and grip, so we decided to look into getting some chalk. We decided to give this brand a try since the price was cheaper than other brands for the same amount of chalk. Despite it being affordable, it's performance does not disappoint! To apply, you don't have to put a lot of pressure to get a nice thick, smooth layer of chalk on your hands, and once it's on, both my husband and I were pleasantly surprised at how much of a difference this made in our grip. I didn't have any slipping - once we run out, I'll definitely be reordering more!

Awesome, but brittle
The chalk is great for sweat, grip, and not caking on your hands. The bricks are a little frail, so I would be careful where you place them in your gym bag. I usually take a chunk, then wipe in on my hands, then rub them together. That way I haven't dipped my entire hand in a bag of chalk, but the brick will disintegrate if you set it under your shaker bottle. Overall, very satisfied with this buy.

Great for home gym
Good chalk for use in my home gym. Block stays together ok. Not too crumbly. After a several weeks in the garage it can start to fall apart. I would assume due to moisture and temperature changes. Otherwise, not too dusty or airborne when using. Helps with grip and not too messy.

Lots of it.
Works great gives me super grip for a more powerful lift on machines and free weights. Put the powder in a sealable bag or container and carry a back pack with you so that way you don’t make a mess and when you rub it on your hands do it over the bowl so any residue that falls off goes into the bowl which you can later use again. And this stuff really dries out sweat and last for a few good sets.

Far Superior to Liquid Chalk
I train at a commercial gym and use this chalk primarily to make sure that I can hold onto the bar in the deadlift. I have been using liquid chalk for ease of use and to be inconspicuous. It has worked fine for the past three years. I've been able to hold onto the bar with a double overhand hookgrip recently getting up to a set of five at 470 pounds on the deadlift using liquid chalk. Then, I did some heavy farming for a few weeks that really messed up my grip and the bar was slipping out of my hand on the 4th and 5th reps, using liquid chalk. As luck would have it I was almost out of the liquid chalk and was going to reorder, but decided to switch to regular chalk to see if there would be a difference. The difference in grip switching to this Cramer chalk from liquid chalk was not subtle. Not once during the work set did I think about the bar slipping out of my hand. It was as if the bar was glued to my hands during the entire work set. This is huge, because if the bar is constantly feeling like it is going to slip out of your hands, it can mess up your form in several areas, because it is so distracting. This is the first review that I think I have written on Amazon and I never thought it would be about something as mundane as chalk. Putting the block into a tupperware container makes it just as easy to transport in the gym bag as liquid chalk, but it is far superior for grip. Don't settle for an inferior product for what you might think is a more convenient product.

I've been a gym rat since 1978 and this is THE BEST!
I ordered my last box in March of 2021. I have one block left and reordered today. It's more expensive but you get what you pay for. This chalk is outstanding, high quality. It's as good a product today and it was in 1978. Not many companies can say that. Order from Cramer and get the BEST!
