RelaxZen Deluxe Padded Massage Recliner, Black

I needed a smaller chair and this one was so easy to put together by myself. I did have my husband tighten it all up with his real tools after I got it up using the included tools. The massage is basic but soothing. The black leather-type fabric is comfortable. You will enjoy this stylish chair.

It is comfortable, enough padding. I had hip replacement and needed a recliner to sleep in and raise my legs up. I also like the remote controlled massager with heat. I am 5'5" and this was just right for this senior lady.

I guess you can't expect much from a $350 odd recliner however this seems to be worse than what I thought. I recently had rotator cuff surgery and needed an el cheapo recliner. Saw this on Amazon and thought how bad could it be since I needed it for only a few months. Here are my observations.1. The material is cheap but I can't comment on how much it will hold up because I have not used it enough. Too soon to tell.2. Assembly was mostly a breeze but the right arm is not properly aligned. Tried our level best but were unable to screw in the bolt as the alignment of the hole is faulty. See photo. The left arm worked just fine.3. The chair itself is unstable. Being in a sling, it was hard for me to get up and one time the chair completely lost it's balance while I was trying to get up. I weigh about 178 lbs and the chair just tilts and becomes unstable. I thought it was just me because of my gait with the shoulder sling but my wife tried it out and she had the same issue.4. The massager is just so so. Something you will find at a cheap massage chair in a mall or something akin to that.The chair does look decent but overall my recommendation is to skip it. YMMV.

The chair looks absolutely awesome, and was easy to assemble. For the first month it was just fine, but after that it fell apart quickly. I wish I would've been more proactive and requested a refund. I would not recommend for anyone, unless you enjoy constant upkeep just to keep it functioning.

THE PRICE & QUALITY IS AWESOME!

The assembly was not easy. The fasteners that attach the back to the seat did not line up without effort. It took well over 1/2 hour to attach the arm rests to the steel frame because the bolts would not line up. If studs and nuts were used it would be much easier to install the arms. In order to recline the chair, a knob on either side of the chair must be loosened. It is possible that, over time, the fasteners that attach the knobs will strip allowing the back of the chair to fall backwards unexpectedly. One must get out of the chair to loosen the knobs to recline the back of the chair. The padding is adequate, but not the most comfortable if one wishes to spend any amount of time in the chair. The allen wrench(hex key) provided for installation of fasteners is inadequate. A hex wrench with a much longer shaft would make installation of fasteners easier. If one is not experienced at assembly, one could have difficulty assembling this chair. I assembled the chair by myself but it was not easy. Another set of hands would make assembly much easier.

Easy assembly, but chair is not nearly as comfortable as I would have hoped. I guess you get what you pay for, but I certainly expected something a bit softer or more welcoming for $300+ dollars. Only two of the four massage motors worked after I put it together, but I didn’t return it because I didn’t want to spend another 2+ hours boxing it back up just to send back. Don’t waste your money.

Within 5 minutes of opening the box and removing the chair. I got a knock at my door. I went to answer it and came back to the chair. My Lab chewed off every daggly wire protruding out for the chair. It's a total loss to me. But at least I can use it as a chair. My Lab has never behaved that way before. Not Amazon's fault, mine.
