I purchased this in charcoal for my mother who is 98 and has been using this product. She found she could not locate it in charcoal in stores she generally shops at. They informed her to go on line to search out the product. I did so for her and was she a HAPPY lady. She did try other brands of charcoal but found they were darker than she wished and it made the application difficult and time consuming for her to get it just right She had me purchase 2 packs of this product which was expensive but whatever it takes to make someone 98 HAPPY and make her life easier each morning as she puts on her makeup it is worth it. So very glad you did have the product and she now has it and is delighted!!!

I was at a loss as to what to send my beautiful white haired mother for Mother's Day when I remembered her recently lamenting the discontinuance of her favorite eyebrow pencils, Maybelline Expert Eyes Charcoal Grey, and went on a search to find them. This product line has been around for years and is a consistently good, basic eyebrow pencil that is neither too hard nor too soft, and which sharpens easily and well. Although they are ridiculously expensive here (likely because of their scarceity), they arrived in a timely manner, in pristine condition and made my Mom giddy with happiness. She said it was a very imaginative, thoughtful and MUCH welcomed gift, so in the end the cost was worth it. Much better than having flowers delivered. (and less expensive too!)

i guess nature's been pretty good to me in a lot of ways. i can carry a decent tune and have a nose of a beagle (function-wise, not so much appearance). but nature has cruelly denied me what i long for most--and that's full, beautiful eyebrows!thus begins my endless search for the perfect eyebrow pencil. it's a long and tedious search. most pencils are too dark and severe looking, or too waxy, or too brunette (i'm korean), or too damn expensive considering the rate that i go through them (damn you, un-named-japanese company!)this charcoal grey maybelline pencil is the only one that i've found over the past 10 yrs or so that meets my needs in terms of beautifully natural, subtle color, with pretty decent staying power, esp considering its paltry price tag.i'm purchasing by the fistful!

I had been using this product since I was 24 years old due to my hair being "salt and pepper." One day I went to the drug store to purchase more, and was disgusted to find there were no more pencils in my color. Thank you for giving me the opportunity of purchasing Charcoal Gray again, even though they were very expensive.Priscilla

Very disappointed. These pencils must be very old. They will not apply, the crayon is very hard and crumbly.I've searched for this color of pencil for a very long time. I know they're discontinued in stores, but thought Amazon would be my savior.Not so. Don't buy the charcoal grey.

I guess Maybelline does like us older ladies anymore, and they stopped making the Charcoal Grey. I have tried other brands and never really liked the results. Maybelline's Charcoal Grey is perfect, and I ordered as many as I could find. Keeping my eye for more.

The colors available now unfortunately don't meet my needs. This shade has been discontinued, of course, since it is the one that matches my hair and brow color. I wish I could purchase a lifetime supply.

I love this pencil! Maybelline made a BIG mistake in discontinuing this great color! Only complaint was that it was very expensive, about 3x what these pencils cost in the store. But hey, this is the color I need/want so I paid.
