Great educational toy
I got this for my granddaughter. She is in preschool, and they were making robots there. Her Mom got her a similar kit but with some different robots. It turns out it is not a kit for preschool, or I would say kids under 8 years old without adult help. Reason being the screws are tiny and hard to get started even for me unless you have a magnetic screwdriver to hold the screws. Another reason is the wires could be wrapped together or around the motors, but it is best to solder them to the battery packs. I do know how to solder and have tools to do what needs to be done. So, someone starting out without the knowledge of soldering, or the tools would not like this kit. It is a very nice kit with a lot of interesting projects.

My Girl loved it.
My 11 yo girls love to "build" small things, fidget spinners, toys, whatever. She asked me to build a "robot". I am no engineer and I did not want to buy her one of those 90 dollar robots which teach her nothing but how to use Bluetooth. I needed spares and some creativity. I came across this and I think it was perfect, it has a few examples of how to build different functionalities, the pieces are designed in a way that you can adjust them to your liking and build other things and they come with the tools you need to build them So far she built 5 and even though she does need some guidance to build (and what's the point if you don't have someone that she can learn what she is actually doing) , she pretty much is doing it everything by herself and already thinking how to build other things. I highly recommend it.

Very fun.
My son is 9 and loves all things science. We had a ball putting these contraptions together. I will say, the screws are so small, they are easy to handle for little fingers, yet sometimes the screws were just a little bit too tough for him to do without help. All in all, he was able to do almost all of the work himself, just needed a bit of help now and then, but he thoroughly enjoyed it. I highly recommend this kit.** When I left the review, we hadn't built the plotter yet. As it turns out, that one was impossible for my son to do. I had to do almost all of it, and parts of it were very difficult for me. It was still really fun, all in all.

Better than other kits
My son (age 10) loves these kits but sometimes they are WAY too hard for him to do without me doing a lot of the work, or having another set of hands. This kit was much easier for him to execute and the things worked! If you've done other kits, you know sometimes you invest all this time and it doesn't work and that stinks. We were happy with this one. He had a lot of fun with the boat and the ping-pong shooter. He was proud to be able to do them himself.

Cool little projects!
Bought this for my 3rd grade students. They definitely need an adult to help them understand the instructions and how to assemble some of the tiny pieces, but I'd rather it be more challenging as opposed to being too easy for them. I do tons of STEM in my class and this was a great activity addition! The final products are really cool :). Also, definitely worth the price! Very fair I'd say.

Cheap and frustrating
Kit is made of very cheap materials and kits are super small. It's incredibly difficult for my sons to build and I got frustrated trying to help. Not worth your money.

Who's it for? Kids or adults.
6 and 8 yr old had trouble with very small parts. Adult ended up building most part.

Good value for the money
Purchased this for my 10 year old son who is very into experimenting and building things. Good value for the money. It has kept him busy on rainy days. When I asked him for his review he said that it was a good present but that he would recommend the manufacturer review the pieces as some of them don’t fit together as instructed. In any case, I’m sure it’s a problem solving lesson for him and I’m pleased with the purchase.
