Work great at blocking most of the sun.

These blinds are just what I was looking for! I put them up by myself. Went up in a flash (15mins), they look nice and again super easy to install and super easy to take down during super windy conditions. I mentioned the windy conditions because I I can't see these holding up well through a bad storm. They are super thin. In fact you can kind of tell by the pictures. They're a bit see-through which for some is okay, but I'm actually trying to block the view so I might get another set to hang up because it does do better blockage if you double up and they're super inexpensive so I don't see the being an issue. I had one minor flaw which one of the strings looks like it snapped or wasn't fully constructed. How it should have been easy fixed. I just took it, cut it and tied it properly and it's fine now. You can't even tell. Overall, for the price you can't beat it again. Super easy to install. I think it'll hold up at least during the summer and I did get additional hooks. The hooks that came with it were fine but I wanted something a little bit more substantial so I was able to find someone Amazon for about five bucks for six of them. I'll leave them more detail review as the season progresses to let you guys know how it holds up. For my porch is located it does get pretty windy so it ought to be interesting to see what happens. Oh one last thing. I noticed a lot of people complaining about size and measurements. My measured perfectly both of them and I ordered them separately. I ordered one and then forgot to order the other and I ordered it another time. So I might just be the luck of the draw but minor perfect size and just as described.

This was just what I needed to filter sun at the southwest side of my chicken run. I ordered one to try and liked it so much I ordered a second. Unlike some reviewers, I had no problem with differences in color or length when ordering two separate times. These were also easy to install. While a roll-up mechanism might be handy for inside, manual rolling is best for outside use I think. After these were hung, we had an 80 mph wind event and they didn't blow down, unlike two trees directly to the south of the chicken pen. So, I highly recommend these as a less expensive option for keeping direct sunlight out!

Obviously doesn't entirely block the sun, but it does provide enough shade while not blocking the view entirely and looks more natural than plastic shades that will eventually crack in the sun. Very pretty and well made, although they are delicate because the individual reeds are thin. But still very nice and looks as if they will last a long time. I used twine to tie up the extra length instead of the plastic hooks that are included because the twine is not really visible and the plastic hooks included to hold up the extra length are an eye sore, but that's my personal preference. We easily took them down and rolled them up before the hurricane hit and easily put them back up after the storm. Highly recommeded.

I really like these shades! I have bought them in the past. I went back to buy a replacement because they dont last. What the heck happened to the price HOLY COW!! I paid less than $50 for 72 by 72. Now it is $122!! I will be looking elsewhere.

Okay, first things first: Consider the price here. These are arguably the least-expensive blinds on the market in this size right now. I have west-facing windows over a balcony, and I have these hung outside to try to block the sun a bit. I have three hung side by side to cover 12 feet of width. These do not particularly "block" the sun. But they do cut the intensity of the sun down, I'd estimate to about 40% of original levels. For the price, they're fantastic. For the price, I might well buy three more and hang them double-thick, which will REALLY cut the sun. Anyway, these are well-made, easy to hang, and pretty much ready to go out of the box. I'm very happy with them, and will likely, as mentioned, buy them again!

My 4-star rating is completely dependent on price. Great at the < $30 price point, but price volatility on this product is INSANE. The price jumps from in the $20s to $160 for no rhyme or reason. Basic non-rolling blinds like this, that are more decorative/privacy-providing then wind/sun blocking, are simply not worth over $40, max. Right now they're at over $100 for which my review would be less than one star. Quality wise, we've had it for 3 years now on our deck, still going strong. They barely block the sun at all though--the evening sun is almost just as blinding through them as without them. They are decorative, block a little wind, and give a little privacy. A pain to roll up. Prone to mildew if you do leave them rolled up in the elements. If you do get them, be careful with the little plastic clips you need for "rolling" them up. They break easily and no one sells replacements (I had to design and 3D print my own).

These blinds are exactly what I wanted…perfect colour as they look very natural. They let in the perfect amount of sunlight in my sunroom. My plants are not getting burned by the West sun magnifying through the window anymore. I didn’t want cords as sometimes they get broken. The clips are ok or you can put your own tie on. Don’t get if you are looking for light blocking….these are a light filter only.

I ordered two of these, one arrived and clearly had been opened before. It was not wrapped inside the box, box was resealed, and was missing the instructions and attachments. Only option was to return and replace, but that is far too wasteful, so we managed to retrofit it with other pieces we already had. Blind will do the job, but only because we were able to make it work.
