I train with my wife, who is only 105 lbs. Will these protect her from strong kicks from a bigger person?

Where I train no girl got injured and we have these Thaipads and other cheaper. It depend a lot of your standing position and how you grab the pads. If you don't hold the pads correctly you will get injured. But these pads are very well made and big enough to stop any kick. And they are very tight at the beginning but they got a bit softer with the time. Good training!

Is there any issue with the Velcro wearing out, losing its adhesivness?

Absolutely not. The velcro is top notch.

Not necessarily. I only got one and amazon is making me ship the order back if i want the other one. Go figure that one out. If theres a local fight shop near you, consider going there and save yourself the time

Does anyone know how much they actually weight? 4lb each? I looked at the website and it says 5.7lbs each...
