Fredrix5023 Red Label Stretched Canvas, 18 by 24 Inches

I could have got this same canvas at Wal-Mart 2 for 13.96. When I opened it, it felt so rough. Out of curiosity I went to compare items. Same sad roughness. Have a deadline for a painting and can send back. Never again will I order from them. It went from WV to Ohio and back to SC. Package looked like it had been opened. NEVER AGAIN...Go to Wal-Mart and get two.

Wooden 18" stretcher on canvas is visibly warped. As a result, canvas surface loose and wrinkled beyond anything included spacers can smooth. This should have been obvious *before* shipping. Fredrix product series label different than that shown in Amazon page display ad. At this point I should know better than to order this type of product without being able to physically examine it myself. Always better to shop brick-and-mortar local for canvases. Taking it as a $15. lesson learned for myself and for anyone reading this review. Will use as a to-be-dumped practice canvas.

Instead of a nice solid canvas as pictured, I received a giant, flimsy pad of low-quality paper. Cannot use for the project I had in mind and will need to buy a proper canvas elsewhere. Too large to return without a hassle, so I guess I paid over $25 for some scratch paper.

It's fine, however be aware that this is not a 1 inch deep canvas. Rather, it's about 3/4th deep. This can make a difference if you are looking for a museum quality or display canvas.

Fredrix canvases are almost always the best. Occasionally you get one that is somewhat warped or one end has the canvas tacked a bit lumpy. Overall a great manufacturer of canvases.
