We purchased these for our son's 7th birthday. He loves everything sports and thought these were the coolest thing! They are definitely flimsy and more of a costume prop vs real pads - so if you need real shoulder pads maybe keep looking. He loves wearing them to play catch outside. Easy to get on and off and I think they'll fit him for another year if he decides to keep wearing them.

I ordered the Chiefs uniform for our grandson‘s birthday. He loved it! Had to actually get some cleats to go with it and some Kansas City Chiefs socks also! He wanted to play football every single day!

This product is ok. Not very sturdy and very flimsy. Also it's way smaller than what it is supposed to be

I used this to make a cheap samus costume for my very tall 3 year old. I spray painted the shoulders with primer then orange, fabric painted the fabric part red, and replaced the black shoelace with fluorescent green. (Also made a little blaster by gluing a small flashlight into a soda bottle and cutting out the bottom.) She loves it. It looks great and I think it will fit her for a while. Problem is, it doesn't really hold its shape. There is one picture review here where you can see what it looks like when it lays flat. I tried to stick it in a tight box when she wasn't wearing it so it would stay bent over the shoulders, but only a few minutes after putting it on it would curl back up, and also turn sideways so that the shoulder pads hang in front and behind her. Frustrating. She still loves it though. It's not really a problem if you're planning to put a shirt or jersey on top.

Well the product is absolutely useless for any type of performance-oriented or workout equivalents. I used it for part of a Batman costume and it worked fantastically. The plastic is just that: cheap plastic. Why do you think the price is so inexpensive? Keeping that in mind, they worked great as a costume piece. The tie is cheap with the underlay being inexpensive foam. They are small, but could fit adults. I tore mine apart to use for a costume so that did not really apply to me personally.If you're looking for a costume or prop piece these make an excellent option.

Franklin and Amazon ought to be ashamed of themselves for making and selling this product. I know the expression "you get what you pay for" but this is even worse than that. Labeling it as "Costume" is far from accurate as it ought to have the word JUNK in parenthesis next to the product name. The photo is the worst false advertising I have seen in a long time! It is literally a flimsy piece of thin, black foam with two little molded plastic cups sewn to the foam, which by the way have ripped entirely off on one side since you have to carefully try and tuck it under a kids t-shirt so it will stay and have some resemblance to football pads.We got this for our youngest son (3 y.o.) for Christmas because he lives and breathes football. He thinks they're real pads, because he is 3, so he loves them! I am the one who is let down that one side has completely ripped apart in just 1 month of use and the other side is close behind.Little kids put their heart into this kind of thing because they believe it is the real deal. My son continues to wear it even though it's ruined. I couldn't take it away from him if I tried. How disappointing that Franklin would produce such a lousy item. Worse of all (and I am a die hard patron) Amazon is stooping pretty low to make a lousy couple bucks trying to sell this piece of garbage!!!

I got these for my 4 year old grandson, to go with a Seahawks uniform that I gave him for his birthday. He loves it so much! He wears them all the time to play with his 4 ft. tall inflated football player. He loves football and his Seahawks and wants everything to be green and blue! These pads are the perfect size for him and will probably continue to fit for a few years. They are light weight and plastic, but sturdy enough for him to play really rough in them, and tackle everything in his path. A very good value.
