Steenstras Windmill Cookies

Just like I remember!
Growing up with Dutch/German grandparents in northern Michigan we always had these. Thirty years later and living in another state I'm so glad I was able to find these on here. They're exactly as I remember, so good! They came well packaged and none were broken.

Yummy
These windmill cookies are very crunchy and tasty. You can taste the ingredients and they’re really wonderful with a cup of tea.

Broken
It was packaged in a plastic envelope and arrived crushed but still edible. I let my nephew have it he loved it, but I had bought it for a coworker as a secret Santa gift and obviously can’t give her crushed cookies.

Crisp and fresh
These cookies are so good. Made and sold in Michigan they were a staple when I was growing up. Nice crisp texture - great with coffee or milk.

What’s a lttle breakage?
These were lovely, with slightly crude, handmade detailing and a bit more spicy then some (Voo)there, competitors’. Truly just a matter of taste. What wasn’t a matter of taste was 1/4 of the arriving broken! One or two, maybe I could see, coming all the way from Rotterdam, but 1/4. Fortunately, they were just for my own consumption or saucer when friends came to call. But, what if I’d been counting on them as a special gift?? The Danes have had this figured out for decades -is it Dutch Pride that’s keeping them from asking their neighbors to the north, or thrift that’s keeping them from making cute little tins?

Four Stars
Great cookies, but the shipping is poor... they come all broken. Otherwise, i would have given 5 stars.
