Trader Joe'sCoconut Oil Non Stick Cooking Spray

Coconut oil spray works as described. However, the cap was taped on with heavy, very sticky packing tape which left a residue on the can that made my hand sticky every time I picked it up. The stickiness was very hard to remove even with Goof-off.

I bought this purposely because coconut oil is the best oil that you can cook with and it withstands high heats, but boy was I disappointed when I found out it has soy lecithin in it. I try to stay away from all soy due to 90% of US soy being genetically modified, and this does not say it is organic soy, which highly likely means it is the genetically modified type. But all those issues aside, for those who don't mind the soy, this spray does its job and since the spray only coats a thin layer you don't have to worry about all your food tasting like coconut if that's not what you are going for.

Now that I am officially diabetic I need to watch my fat intake. I have narrowed it down to just Coconut Oil. But if I have used my quota for the day I will use this spray. It is just CO, but no calories or fat but it gives non-stick for frying my tofu and it can be put on my popcorn so that my Nutritional yeast will stick. It has the sweet taste without the guilt or raised blood sugar. I will be buying more.​

I add this to my popcorn instead of butter now and its not too strong, just right. I did go into my health food store and see one for about the same price if not less so thats why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5..

Sprays on nicely works very well as a nonstick material and the taste is delicious little sweet but not too much

Great for cooking, light and can't taste it in the food. Much healthier option than cooking with butter or vegetable oil. I also spray this on myself as a moisturizer because it's 100% raw coconut, nothing else added and it is easier to apply than raw coconut in the solid form. It moisturzies my skin better than all the other products I have and smells delicious but not overpowering!

We don't have one in my small tow so I order on-line a lot. Trader Joe's gets good marks on most items they sell and this is one. I don't use spray very often but I have found this is a good one and moderately priced.

I would like to give this 5 stars but the tip where the spray comes out broke after only a few uses. I had no choice but to throw it away when it was almost totally full, which feels like a waste of money. The few times I used it I liked it though.
