It really fits!
I had an old cold air intake system on my truck (20 yrs.) and was concerned about what I would find to fit the intake pipe. But this filter has removal diameter duct sections to fit three different size pipes. So far so good hope this one lasts as long as the other one 159k!!

Great product for the price.
Great filter, seems to be well made. My last filter worked for a couple years before it started falling apart on me. So far this k&n had given my camaro the extra zoom and more responsive on the highway. Also might need to put the shroud back. But my car does better without it for some reason. The rain doesn’t seem to get under the engine bay but I’m not driving over giant puddles of water either. Highly recommended if you want extra power to your car.

Outter Boot is NOT molded to the filter
This IS a genuine K&N Air filter, However I think it is one of their cheaper filters. My biggest concern with this was on the inlet where the rubber and stainless/aluminum come together they are NOT sealed. You can remove the Rubber boot from the filter (not just the 2 inserts for different sizes, but the 4” rubber boot that the inserts go inside of) in my option this gives a possible area for dirt and water to get in. Even when installed you can actually rotate this filter around that boot. That being said it’s still tight and likely wouldn’t cause any issues. But be aware of it. A simple bead of silicone around that seam would fix that issue if you were worried about it.Apart from that I just installed it, and it seems like a great filter!

Easy and was worth every cent.
Being 100% honest I knew this will not give any true impact on performance since, well it is not a cold air intake. Yet within 3 mins I had this on and the noises that my turbo was putting off with this was almost orgasmic. Do not think there will be more horse power, because the air that it is intaking is generally going to be near the hot engine, but since it is less than a 10th of the cost of a real cold air intake... worth every cent. When it came to installation on my Audi A4 2017 (B9) Quattro it was fairly simple. It comes with three rubber mounting rings widen or contract around the size of your own intake pipe. I have never written a review in the past so you can take this a good thing.

A tight fit but works great
So I have a takeda intake for my 2012 Altima 2.5s. So the original takeda filter is over 60 bucks I can’t do that since I want to get a 2-3 of them. So I tried the spectre ones well they are not great I had issues that caused me to keep changing my maf sensor every few months due to the crappy filters spectre sells. So I had to back to a name brand. Well I can notice a better quality on these k&n filters. Yes it’s a close fit since I have an oversized battery. But will order two more when I can afford it. Great product. Why I want to order more since I clean one and let it dry I want to be able to drive my baby around

READ BEFORE BUYING
I like this intake filter, but be careful to make sure it is compatible with your car before you get it. While technically it is a "universal" fit, check to see if your car's MAF (Mass Airflow Sensor) is attached to any of the parts you will be removing ( usually the original filter housing). If it is, you will need to buy a second part in addition to this filter, because the MAF is crucial when your car is calculating the proper air to fuel ratio. If the car can detect that the sensor is not working proper, then it will show a check engine light. However, if installed correctly, this K&N filter does increase performance and filtration.
