solid!Edit 26/11/2014The rack is very solid, but be aware that softboards might suffer from an unprotected rack, I'm currently using towels to minimize the contact with the hard polymer rack.

package clearly states that these racks comewith rubber pads to protect your board. was disappointed to not find these in the package. also, although it doesn't state that mounting hardware is included, why doesn't this come with mounting hardware? one more trip to Home Depot required.

Rack is well built, but if you have a surfboard that is more than 21" wide (which a lot of Longboards are) it won't fit. You'll end up resting the middle of the board on the wall and in my case concrete which scratches it up. So disappointed!
