This has become a classic in our family. One of my daughters favorite books as a child and now at 29 years old, she still remembers it. Keeps their attention. It is a perfect baby shower gift.

You can't go wrong with this book! - Awesome illustrations/art work by Alaskan artist - The moral of the story is heartwarming - The rhythm of the story makes it easy to read again and again... and again...and so on ;-) - This version is the study, board-book kind (it comes in soft cover too) and holds up to chewing, throwing and general baby-shenanigans. I guarantee it will become a treasured and favorite story for both adults and children!

I love this book for so many reasons. I read it as a kid with my mom in the 90s and had forgotten about it until I saw it gifted at a baby shower. Immediately seeing the cover I knew I needed to purchase for my kids and I’m so glad I did. Yesterday my daughter randomly told me “mom even if I’m mad at you I still love you.” I’m convinced it’s because of this book. It’s heartwarming and sweet and is all about unconditional love. Some negative reviews are parents that really should put some research into how they speak to their children. Telling your kid that if they do x or y it will affect your feelings toward them is the opposite of unconditional love.

Beautiful story of unfailing love between mother and child.

My mother read this to me as a child. Now, I pass it on to a new family. I remember being fasciated by the Inupiat style masks as a young Alaska and as an adult I only appreciate the beautiful art more. Would recommend for reading to any young child.

This was a repurchase because my daughter wanted a copy for when they have children and she knew I would want to keep mine. This was her favorite book and it was so helpful at times. When ever she did something she got in trouble for I would read it and point out what ever situation it fit in with. And I would point out I was mad, upset etc but I still loved her. We always had to howl at the howls at the moon. Highly recommend this book!!

My daughter loved this book as a child and so do I. It represents unconditional love of a mother to a child. She is now grown up at 23 I found this on amazon. Got the hard cover and presented it to her with some of my words . She teared up and was certainly surprised. Mama do you love me!!! Mamas will love till eternity .

A warm simple story full of love with a mystical faraway feeling and beautiful illustrations.My children loved this book when they were small and have never forgotten it.I bought this second copy as my older daughter is now studying fashion textiles at Uni,wanted it for reference and inspiration for her current Inuit inspired project and I couldn't part with our original childhood copy.One to treasure.

una maravilla de libro. Los dibujos, las expresiones, la historia.... Una preciosidad. Me encanta cuando la mamá explica a la criatura que aunque la mamá se enfade no deja de quererla...

I love reading this story to my son. The pictures are so well drawn and the story is so sweet and funny.

Très belle initiation à la culture inuit, illustrations magnifiques. C'est aussi une très belle occasion de rappeler à nos enfants que nous les aimons et que nous les aimerons toujours, quelles que soient les bêtises qu'ils feront. Mes enfants (5 ans et 2 ans) ont accroché tout de suite. Ma grande a même mémorisé le texte après plusieurs lectures, et aime "lire" ce livre à son petit frère.
