Very easy to use, I would have preferred it to have been wind up, but I guess you get what you pay for. Having said that it keeps time well and the alarm is loud enough to wake me up, usually a mammoth task, I can sleep though a violent thunderstorm right over my head.

The media could not be loaded. It works as intended, looks the part, ringer is loud enough for me, the only problem is the back light, you have to reach to the back of it to press and it doesn't stay on. Apart from that, it's fine, and no ticking, but a very very quiet, put you ear right next to it, wwruring, scratchy sound, not audible form 5 inches from it.

Great buy and looks very authentic. Nice largish size which is perfect for my husband. Loud alarm and large numbers. I would recommend this.

Bought this alarm clock as it looked good and suited my lifestyle - I don't take my phone into the bedroom.Initially it worked fine, but after about 2 weeks the battery went. OK, I thought, factory supplied batteries are not known for their longevity.Put in another battery I found in a drawer, didn't last very long. Thought OK, it was just in a drawer. Purchased some Duracell AA batteries - pack of 8 - and I've been through them all!That's 10 batteries I've been through and to add insult to injury, the alarm doesn't work now either!!!Very unhappy! The previous alarm clock I had lasted for over 10 years before it gave up.

I inherited one similar many years ago and wanted to have one for old times sake. The quality is okay for the price but nothing like the old alarm clock made with real metal. It has a fairly typical plastic core where you can adjust the time and the alarm. There is a button at the back for back light, which is useful in the dark. And a very small on/off switch at the back as well, for one to switch on and off the alarm. The alarm is very very loud, almost as loud as our fire alarm. Everyone in the whole house can hear it. As there is only that small on/off switch at the back, which is not the easiest thing to operate so early in the morning, you might have a small domestic scene in the morning. In the end, not every one is impressed or happy, but at least every one is up.
