We have mix-and-match dinnerware in my house for everyday use, mostly Japanese and Scandinavian design blue and white dishes, with a few others in greys and black thrown in. I just don't like the matchy-matchy look much, and find the eclectic look fun, not to mention practical over time when it comes time to replace items.These little plates are just darling, and fit in beautifully with our other dishes and bowls. They are sturdy, but not overly heavy, and a great size not only for tapas, but also desserts, snacks, side salads, bread and butter, and even as a holder beneath small dipping bowls. They add elegant punch to the table, and bring a smile to my face when I see them.Actually, I purchased these while my husband was away, and was worried that he would not take to them. Not only did he like them, but a couple of weeks later, he asked me to order another set! We use them all the time. They work well with any coordinating color dishes, not only the other Royal Doulton Pacific items. Very pleased with the purchase, and highly recommend these versatile little cuties.

I loved the pattern, it’s old. The new one is “green mint” color. It’s porcelain so good durable quality. If you like the style, get all the dishes at one, cause amazon is the only ones that have the prices affordable still. I had a hiccup on my order, but it shouldn’t detour you from getting them, specially if you find the mugs, small plates and soup bowls or pasta plates. No need for dinner plates. This 9” plates are perfect for lunch or dinner size unless you like the bigger ones for chargers. In any event, you will be happy.

Great little bowls. Do take out a measuring tape before you order so you how what you're getting. They're definitely too small for cereal or soup, but they're the perfect size for snacks. They remind me of ice cream bowls. The pattern is pretty and if you watch for price fluctuations, which can be drastic, you can get a great deal. They came very well packaged, so no chips or cracks.

The bowls’ quality is very good and seems sturdy yet lightweight. They are not as thick as stonewares, which I had before from other brands. I prefer this lightweight porcelain bowls now.But the one star deduction is for Amazon. The bowls are not as pictured and seems like Amazon combined some bowls from broken sets into one. The bowls as described should be mixed patterns but I received same patterns for two bowls each. Very disappointed. I bought the set because of the mixed patterns description. So I am shipping these back. I am hesitant to order a new set, worrying that Amazon might send me another combination from broken sets.
