Dimensions 73038 Cute Kitten Counted Cross Stitch Kit for Beginners, 3" D, Small

Opened this up right away and started stitching it. The only thing I did not like was the little hoop it came with. It seemed to small. Finished it differently. It was a very simple stitch to do. Recommend it for a beginner stitcher.

My Daughter wanted a needlecraft project for her birthday. She found this to be a little challenging as a beginner but totally worth the effort when she finished. Easy to follow instructions. Cute design.

I was surprised at how small it is. It is on 11-count Aida.The kitty is very cute once finished. The ring is of so-so quality. There is one needle supplied and that seems good quality!There is plenty of floss supplied thankfully, although it seems very low quality. The whole kit seems like it should be sold for $4.95, not the $5.95 it was sold for. The picture is so cute that the kit is worthwhile persevering with, but there are times that it is a real struggle to find the holes in the Aida - They are full already from the cross-stitching when you find there is a great deal of backstitching to be done. Sometimes I just had to take my best guess are where the holes once were.

I bought this for my 9-year-old granddaughter's first attempt at counted cross stitch. She was able to do it all by herself with some coaching from me. It came out looking just like the picture on the site. There was more than enough thread included. She found that using my needle-threader was helpful. Very easy to snap the hoop on when it was finished. After trimming, we added a short length of pink ribbon to hang it with. She is thrilled with it and very proud of herself.

As a beginner in cross stitching, I am still a bit intimidated to start. The pattern is so cute and the colors are very rich. I know it will look amazing when I finish. The first stitch is the hardest, but the directions are pretty clear.

Well, I'm a 33 year old female who is still traumatized by a 4th-grade quilting project (which I was sooooooo excited about prior to starting). As such, I've avoided things with thread and needle for most of my life. I quite sincerely bought this item with the intention of making a little gift for my mother and learning something new.I was a bit "insulted" when I saw that this kit is aimed at kids, but that was actually wonderful. The instructions are superbly written and illustrated. Absolutely everything needed is included. And I actually finished it!

I bought this item for my eight year old granddaughter and it was too difficult. Holes too small for her to work with.

I just loved the design plus great count for new or beginners.

Not easy to follow

Received this wanting to give as gift to granddaughter.Was surprised to note there was no pattern print on the mesh. What a disappointment .
