Tarot for Your Self: A Workbook for the Inward Journey (35th Anniversary Edition)

I am a tarot reader and occasionally teach classes on how to read cards. This is my favorite book to recommend to anyone who wants to grow their understanding of the cards and themselves. It is very comprehensive, but also easy to understand and approachable.There are numerous self guided study exercises, spread suggestions, how to develop intuition, how to add crystals to readings, a comprehensive card interpretation glossary and more.

The author of this book is highly regarded in Tarot circles, and this book (now in a new edition) is one reason why. Familiarizing the reader with multiple influences in Tarot reading, and guiding the reader into new ways to think of the cards and how to explore them, the book opens up the Tarot as a tool for personal reflection. An essential book for Tarot students.

I found this book at a Tarot book club. No one in the book club was able to finish it in a month and with good reason - there is so much information and so much to try! I bet it will take me more than a year to work all the way through it. There are great charts and worksheets and wonderful exercises. The exercise on entering into a card is priceless - I recorded the instructions on my phone and I'm slowly doing it for every card in the major arcana. If you are interested in Tarot, whether you are just starting out, or have years of experience - there will be something in this book for you.

The media could not be loaded. I love how deep this journal gets. And the guides it gives, the explanations, and how much you can learn. It is such a wonderful guide for beginners and more.

The content is easy to read, the activities are practical and helpful. The descriptions, questions, and affirmations for each card really resonate, more so than any other book I've read on Tarot. I do want to point out that the cover fell off (glue not so sticky?) within the first day I started reading, and since this is an updated edition some page references don't line up but with a little time you can figure it out. Also there were some spelling and punctuation errors scattered throughout. I didn't want to take away any stars for those issues with production because the author's content is relevant and easy to read.

Excellent source of knowledge but the page numbers are off when told to reference a chart etc. Easy enough to figure out the proper pages. Made little notes in the margins of the correct page numbers for less confusion on the future.Besides that, this book has changed my life.
