This kit is wonderful! I just finished it today. The kit comes in a clear box that snaps closed with everything you need except the pillow insert. The yarn is bundled by color and labeled, and there was actually enough yarn to finish the kit! (I bought a kit once that didn't have enough of one color to finish the pattern.) The directions were easy to follow. The kit came with a hooking tool, but I didn't use it (I have a nice one already.) I really like how the backing is already attached instead of me having to stitch it together myself. The only issue I had was the canvas was attached slightly crooked, which made the top of the pattern a bit tricky (see pictures.) I don't think it will be noticeable once the insert is in there.This is a fantastic kit all the way around.10/10, would buy again.

This is a fantastic latch-hook kit! I was really impressed with the packaging, as all the yarn is divided by color. Everything comes in a handy transparent carrying case, so it’s easy to find what you’re looking for. And it comes with everything you need — including the latch hook.Each color is numbered, and there’s a code on the insert that identifies each color. There’s a surplus of each color, so there’s no fear of running out.The insert also details where each individual stitch goes, which is incredibly helpful, as it’s not always clear what color goes into which spot from the imprint on the canvas. There’s no guessing which color goes where!The canvas itself is very high quality. And the yarn is so very soft. There’s a good zipper on the back that makes it easy to open the backing to insert a 16”x16” pillow.The final product looks exactly like the photo. It’s ridiculously cute, and it’s hours of relaxing fun to make.

Kit comes with every thing you need (except pillow insert). Easy to do, canvas is stamped to show colors. I’d recommend following the chart included with the kit for the more detailed areas where the color changes (heart, leaves, eyes). Yarn sheds quite a bit, I tossed the finished piece in the dryer on air/no heat setting with a couple of dryer balls and that helped. Added bonus was keeping my hands occupied and off social media for hours, a much better use of my time!

Latch hooking has been a hobby of mine for over 20 years. I have purchased many kits throughout the years and this one is my favorite brand by far. Many of the kits you buy at the store do not have a bound edge and causes them to become damaged while working on it. I have not experienced that problem at all with this one. I also like the fact that it has a zipper on the back which allows you to fill it and make it into a pillow. I purchased my own latch hooks because I did not like how small or thin the grip area of the hook that comes with this kit is, but the one it does come with will work just fine; this is just a personal preference for me.The negatives of this kit, which may really bother some people are that the colors on the canvas can be quite confusing. I just use the paper chart that is included. If you stick to using that, you will be just fine. I won't knock them in stars for the confusing colors on the canvas given that they provide a very easy to follow chart, a latch hook, bound edges, capability to fill it to create a pillow, and a really convenient case to store your materials in. Overall, this is by far the best kit I have purchased.

This is our third pillow kit from this company, and my mother LOVES them. We have bought a few others with our own money. My original review is from the earlier kits but still applies to this one. My mom didn't like the "funky colors" of the owls and changed them to brown with her own yarn to make them look "more like real owls".ORIGINAL REVIEW:My mother is obsessed with doing latch hooks and is CONSTANTLY making them. Since retiring, she spends at least $200/month on kits and canvas etc and is filling a closet up with completed rugs that she is going to donate to Rugs for Roswell. She liked the two kits that I got her from this company, aside from the hooks which are too thin for her arthritic hands to comfortably hold. She uses a big rounded handled hook.The image is printed on the canvas, but my mom does not go by the print as she prefers to follow the grid and count. The kit was done in less than a day because it is so small and there is not too much detail in it. It is a good size for making a cute little pillow or wall hanging.4.5 stars, half a star off for the included hook being so narrow.

I am so disgusted with this product. Upon getting close to finishing its construction I realized that it was missing a lot of yarn. I wrote to the company telling them that I needed it ASAP, as the pillow was meant to be a holiday gift. They quickly got back to me and sent me the missing pieces- but it arrived too late to give it to my niece for Chanukah. Instead, I saved it to give her for her birthday in February. Upon stuffing it, the material portion completely tore off of the material. It was cheaply made and had to be meticulously repaired at the last minute, once again causing a problem in giving it as a timely gift. I would not buy their products again.

I'm very impressed with this kit. Most latch- hook kits leave you to figure out how to finish. This one is pre- finished complete with zipper so all you have to do is stuff a pillow in once you're done and, voila!, instant gift. Nicely done!

This is my first latch hook kit and I was pleasantly surprised. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience.Pros- Everything you need (except a pair of scissors) is available in the kit- cute end productCons- Yarn is machine cut and sometimes it's longer than required. You'll have to trim it. This was the case with around 5-10% of the individual threads- The corners of the area wasn't accurate and hence was difficult to sew

Overall I'm happy with it. Good size. Adobe of the yarn is off cut but they sent enough extra that I could toss those. The only real room for improvement is the backing fabric, very ruff- burlap like material , kinda takes away from how fuzzy the front is. But for the price I'm happy with it.

This may be a little challenging for a 7 year old. But she loves crafts so I'm sure she will enjoy making this with a bit of supervision to start her off.

The only thing I don’t like is the outside two rows are very difficult to hook, it would be better if the pattern starts inside of the outside edge by a couple rows.
