I just filled 16 jars with jam. now i am not sure if the seal is good. how can i tell if the jam will be safe?

In general - if the center of the lid is depressed after cooling down after you processed it and doesn't bounce back up when touched - the seal is good.

Are these compatible with ball 2 piece lids?

Yes - I used the standard 2 pc lids with them with good results

What is the lid measurement?

The lid measure 2 5/8". I love the jars but the lids came unsealed when I tried to remove rings. If you are not canning, they will be great. I used different lids on my 2nd order of jars and they worked much better. I think they are just very cheap lids.
