For more than scorpions!
I don't have scorpions, i use it as a night light for my Whites Dumpy Tree Frogs and its great! They can see their food and i can see them without disturbing their nocturnal cycle!!

Stick on only. No other stand.
I guess I didnt pay attention on how this hooked to the cage. I cant use it. I'm going to try to make a stand. It is very bright long cord. Great light to light up the tank highlights all the glow accessories great. I have it just laying on top. It's very light so it's an ok weight to lay on the screen. It's so light it kinda feels cheap. The one and off switch is very touchy. It's an ok light but because its sticks to the cage permanently and I cant take it off it's no use for my type of cage I have a screen top that lifts off. And another that slides but I need to redecorate so the light can be in the back as of the set up now the light would cause it to not open. Glad it wasnt to pricey or I would send it back.

Loose connection
The light does what’s its supposed to do but I noticed that the connection is loose so the light doesn’t stay lit if you move it around. Also an on/off switch would be nice. For $25, I expected better quality. I’ll be returning this as soon as I find a better one.

Loose connector plug
Connector plug to light base is always loose and light does not always stay on because of loose connection.

Information
UV lights will harm the scorpion, causing stress and ultimately death. The best thing to do is keep it out of direct sunlight and any type of UV lighting. Infrared lights are fine, as they cannot see red light and are not disturbed by it. Black lights without UV rays are fine as well.
