Book was very helpful
My wife and I followed the advice and were very successful with doing the master cleanse diet and have coached others.

If we are honest, the vast majority of us in the "Western World" would like to lose a bit of weight, some for toning and aesthetics and some for a more broader medical or healthcare requirement. This book seeks to bring a nearly 50-year-old detoxification diet to the fore. The central thrust is that many toxins are stored inside the body within fat cells, so eliminate the toxins and the weight "comes off". Similarly consume toxins or ignore food allergies and expect the weight to come wobbling back. For the purposes of this review we cannot take a position as to the veracity of the diet and its claims.Working as a coach-yourself guide, things are written and presented simply and clearly, not something one can always say about similar books, with a more measured tone than hyperbole. There is a lot of detail, background information and various dire legal warnings about the author not being an attorney and that you are, in essence, responsible for your own health and please don't sue him. That was a bit jarring, it must be said! Some items on the shopping list for the (minimum) 10-day programme were also a little eye-opening: 30 large lemons, 60 limes, maple syrup, cayenne pepper, herbal tea laxatives and probiotics. Compared to many other dietary books the diet certainly seems less palatable or enjoyable than many of its contemporaries, but maybe the possible end results justify the means. Strength of mind and character are pre-requisites. Some of the initial reactions from the body also are a little uncomfortable but not life-threatening. Prepare for more laundry if the worst happens...The author is clear as to possible side-effects and attempts to answer many common questions, misunderstandings and fallacies too. This reviewer does not feel ready to make the ultimate sacrifice and give this a try, yet, but it was interesting reading in any case and possibly through absorption elements of change will occur in dietary habits. So in short, there cannot be a clear recommendation either way. It is down to personal choice. It does feel worthy of consideration and further research. The book is not filled with "rah! rah! you can do it!" text and pictures of svelte celebrities who have been paid handsomely for their endorsement. If you can, take a closer look and consider it as a possible option.

Coach Yourself - Use The Master Cleanse
I received an ebook copy of this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.I have been curious about The Master Cleanse for years, which is why I chose to read this book. I wanted it to be easy, however, Peter Glickman is correct when He says that there is enough information involved in the science of the Master Cleanse, that you should have a support system. After completion of the book, I feel that I have a place to start, and a reference to support me.I do not, however feel that I could "coach" someone else through the Master Cleanse. Perhaps after several cycles myself, I might even refer someone to one of Peter's books, but I don't think I'll ever be a coach. Each person must travel their own road. Wish me safe travels....

Too repetitive
This book is helpful though repetitive. He keeps repeating the same stuff in different parts of the book. I would recommend Tom Woloshyn's book better.
