Great little scalp massager
Great little scalp massager. Price was right. I'm trying to stimulate hair growth so my hair will grow longer faster. I will add some black castor oil and sometimes a homemade concoction of onion oil (don't smirk, it smells awesome. Yes, I am happily married, my husband doesnt mind it at all, LOL... the smell washes away with one shampoo.) Boil some coconut oil, add sliced onions and a couple teaspoons of curry powder, cook for like 20-30 minutes, strain out onions. Store oil in a jar in the fridge.( Eat the onions. SO GOOD. but i digress.) Anyway, the onion, coconut, and curry are supposed to be good for hair growth, as is the scalp massage - especially if done inverted ( lie on the bed with your head upside down) I try to massage every night, i put the oils in like once-twice a week because i dont want to wash my hair too much more than that. Has my hair grown? i don't know, it's only been a month. (i'll try to update in a couple months) but my scalp feels really healthy from all the massaging, promoting blood flow. I have not had a problem with it tangling my hair, ripping it out, once i figured out the method of not ramming it all the way down on my scalp... Stop before the handle touches your head. And don't yank it out when you are done S.L.O.W.L.Y lift it , and if you feel any hair being caught, slightly wiggle & twist it gently, and it should release pretty easily without pulling out the hair. OH, and if you are using onion oil, it will be lubricated enough to glide right out of you hair ;o) 5 stars. Going to get more because my husband wants one ;o)

Good proce for what it is
It works as expected. It does massage my head and I do get the tingling feeling while using it. The price is reasonable for what it is. I like that it is lightweight and feels good while holding it. It seems that the quality is somewhat good enough for the price. The design is ok. I wish it would massage more spots on my head at the same time. It has no battery or anything so you have to use your hand.

Good Bang for the Buck!
I have only had this for a week, and, I usually don't like to write an opinion this soon. But since it seemed to relieve a scalp inflammation issue I've had over the last months, it deserves to have a comment made. I have woken many times over the past months with my scalp feeling heated and tender mostly over my left side of my head. It would kind of come and go, but be more tender at times. At first I thought I hit my head against something while restless in sleeping? When I notice it, I usually just massage my scalp with my hands and fingers for awhile and that usually relieves it enough as to not be bothersome. But I still feel a bit of tenderness over that area if I touch it. More recently, it has been tender for a more prolonged time and my finger massages have not really been as effective. I don't remember how I happened to run across this device on Amazon. However, I had been Googling for answers to what the "scalp" tenderness could be. So out of many selections of various scalp massagers/acupressure tools - I choose this one because of the excellent reviews. As soon as I received it, I put it directly over my scalp on the right side. I moved it around a little until it kind of felt right. I got an immediate tingling sensation, almost as if the tool was charged with something. I rotated it only slightly while keeping it about the same spot. After a couple of minutes the tingling stopped. I could not get it to do that again. So I just moved the prongs around that area slowly rotating over the tender area. Within 5 to 10 minutes, all the tenderness was gone. I will have to wait until the next time (if there is one) I get that tenderness again, to see if it works the same. It would even be better of course, if the tenderness never comes back. But that is like saying I will never be stressed again. Rather wishful thinking as they say. I used to be a massage therapist, so I know how to massage a scalp. I wish I had this tool when I was working with people. It would have been a great asset.

Disgusting!
I purchased this item as a Christmas gift for someone who is hard to buy for, because she can afford anything and everything she wants on the drop of a dime. If she wants it, she doesn't normally wait for Christmas to get it- and this is something that she requested. I received the package today and it comes in a clear cylinder with the item inside. It also came complete with dents at the opening of the package and scratches all over, a few cat hairs on the outside of the package... It looks like someone packaged it up from their house and mailed it... If I was looking for a used item, I would have shopped Craigslist or Freecycle. The top of the cyclinder appears to have been glued shot with nail glue or something similar- as the bottom does not have this problem, and was probably done to make it appear new and unopened. The product itself looks worn as it has small spots of rust on the wires... If I purchased this for myself I would still be annoyed, but you are giving something as a gift and it looks like you got it from the thrift store- it's another story... The product will function as it should, but I didn't purchase a used item- I was looking for a new item. Amazon should stay away from so many of these third party vendors because it makes them look bad, and I will think twice about using them for so much of my holiday shopping in the future. My husband has also received two packages that he purchased through Amazon from third parties and they also look used. Awesome.
