Pulaski Birch Hill Swivel Glider Recliner, Coffee with Doe Piping

This has been a nice chair but it didn't last as long as expected. We had it for just under 3 years when the reclining mechanism broke (a bolt severed completely while I was comfortably resting!). I am 6' 1" and 210 pounds, so, a bit larger than average. However, I cannot remember anything like this happening with any of our previous recliners. In addition, after a year or so, the filling on the back of the chair compressed making the fabric look wrinkled and loose.

Very comfortable for sitting and sleeping! I often find myself sleeping on the chair with my infant daughter when she wakes up in the middle of the night, and it's super comfortable. My only complaints are how heavy it is (it's impossible for me to move it by myself on the carpet it sits on), and how easily it swivels. My five year old son likes to sit in it and I'm always having to remind him not to swivel so much in case he accidentally kicks his sister when she's on the floor. Overall, though, the fabric is very soft, the color is a nice deep brown color, and the chair looks great in my daughter's nursery.

This is the worst recliner I have ever sat in. It was much smaller than I expected. The back is not high enough to support your head when reclined. Also the foot rest does not go out far enough - my feet hang off uncomfortably. It might be ok for someone who is short.Worst of all it is very difficult to get the foot rest back into the upright position. The only way I can get the footrest back into the chair is to get out of the chair while the footrest is up, and then kick it with all my might.It is obvious that the chair was never tested after it was made.

GREAT chair. Wonderful fabric, feels solid not at all flimsy like similar priced recliners. This chair is on the smaller side. I'm 5'11 and my feet definitely hang over. It's comfortable though as the foot rest and body are all attached (no space in between) I was thrilled to see it reclined into a sleeping position! Very easy to assemble and just to see if it was as easy as it stated, I took the back off once I assembled it, and it was as easy as shown. Love this chair. It is VERY DIFFICULT to close the foot rest from the recline position. You almost have to throw it back. Perhaps it will be less stiff as it ages. One word of advice, do not let any "gamer" sit in the chair or you will loose it forever. My son now claims it for his "awesome" video game chair.

Update: not so much in love with these chairs after 6 months of very light use they squeak really loud and both have a loud clicking sound when you sit down and both lean to one side wouldn’t recommend.Love love love these chairs. We bought 2 for our family room. The Chocolate brown color was dead on. Recliner works great very comfortable chairs but one of the chairs from day one had a light squeaking by day 5 it was all out screeching. There was no way to contact vendor to see if there was a way to fix the squeaking thankfully amazon took care of it ordered a replacement and had the shipping company box and pick up the defective chair.

Needed a chair with these features in order to be able to face the tv, then turn toward other seating for conversation.Great value for the money. Caution: the mechanism is apparent as the seat sits fairly highColour is a taupey brown and it goes very well with our colour scheme. It is very hard to find a tailored looking recliner withoutgetting into custom made. Some commenters had difficulty kicking the footrest back in from reclined to upright position, but justneeds a swift kick with your heels to click into place which I do not find difficult.

This chair is exactly what I expected from the photos. The fabric is nice and soft and the contrast piping is a nice touch. The back is very plush and high enough for even tall people to rest their head on. The swivel and rocking features work smoothly.The only things I would change: higher armrests (I have to use a pillow to prop up my arm if I want support when rocking baby) and a handle for the footrest instead of a latch (it's a little difficult to get down and lock into place using just your feet).

the packaging of this chair was ripped, dented, and taped; everything to say the product was damaged - not. It was in pristine shape, however, no where in the packaging or attached to the chair does it identify this recliner as "Pulaski Burch Hill" which was a disappointment. This chair is a glider and not a rocker. My mistake. It is a beautiful piece. Think I'll keep it.
