Cuckoo Luckoo Classic Red Licorice Scottie Dogs, 1 lb Bag in a BlackTie Box

In the 10+ years since being diagnosed with Celiac Disease, I have tried gluten-free alternatives to many of my previously favorite treats. Licorice was something I thought that I would probably never again be able to enjoy and, for some reason, have recently been craving... A LOT! On a whim, I searched for “gluten-free products” on Amazon and one of the options shown was Gimbal’s Licorice Scottie Dogs. I was skeptical but decided to give them a try and the result... AMAZING! These are simply soft, chewy, delicious bites of licorice heaven... sooo yummy!!! They arrived nicely packaged and super fresh... worth every penny and I will definitely order again!

My daughter has celiac disease and the one thing she has missed the most is licorice! That is until today!! The flavor is spot on to strawberry twizzlers!! He texture is different from twizzlers but in my opinion it’s better!! The only negative is the very steep price, but as a father who can make my daughters day for $14 I’ll be a customer for life!!! Gimbal’s you actually made a 9 years life better!!! Thank you thank you thank you!!!

My celiac daughter has been missing red licorice. There aren't many gluten free versions on the market and the one we tried just tasted like fruit snacks. But this licorice is amazing!!!! Tastes like red vines!!! My daughter is so happy! She finished her one-pound box two weeks after she got them for Christmas, so I just ordered another box. She is also going dairy free and egg free soon and she will still be able to eat these! Agreeing with the other reviews I read, yes they are a little speedy but worth every penny.

Disappointed. Received my latest order of Scottie Dogs. I order these several times a year as I really enjoy them. When they arrive I typically stuff them into a quart size ziplock bag as they stay fresher longer. Usually they barely fit this time however there was room to spare. The contents were a quarter pound underweight 1.72 pounds not the 2 pounds I ordered. Secondly these were not a fresh feeling as my previous orders were. I’d typically rate these a 5 star but due to the low weight and freshness issues I rating this shipment a one star. I do have to say that though not a fresh tasting they are still the best tasting licorice I’ve ever tasted. Cheers

I bought these for my brother-in-law and he loved them. I was curious about them, so I bought some myself. They are flavorful, on the soft side and good quality. They come inside the black and white cardboard box wrapped tightly in plastic so they are fresh. The Scotty dog design is on one side, and the other side is flat. This is a good gift to give that elderly person who is hard to shop for, or anyone who loves black licorice.

First, I need to say that these are the best gluten-free licorice pieces I've had to-date. They taste great. My one complaint is that they stick to the teeth rather ferociously. I get that not having flour in them makes them more sticky; I just wish someone would develop a good alternative.

The first three times I bought this item it was a lovely, fruity, tangy strawberry flavor. I loved it. Then the fourth order changed. It still is a good strawberry flavor but it is not tangy, fruity any more. I suppose it tastes more like licorice with the flavor and texture but I like the way it was before. I am used to the change now but I am very hesitant to order it again. For the money it just doesn't taste that good anymore. Please bring the old strawberry back. You can call it something different but I am reluctant to order anymore. I will just have to find something else.

For gluten free this is amazingly great licorice. A little on the chewy side but 6 seconds in microwave changes that easily.
