Worked well with my old Western Electric Model 302 telephone ...
Worked well with my old Western Electric Model 302 telephone. Had no issues installing it once I found a diagram online to show where the wires needed to be connected.

Little tight…
Quality plug. Built like the ones from back in the day. Has a closed back which is nice since I’m making an adapter and not mounting on wall. The only issue is that the springs were very tight and I was afraid to pull that hard on my old 505a plugs. Ended up stuffing a small screwdriver and/or pick in them and turning counterclockwise. It unwound the spring just enough.

Perfect! (And hard to find elsewhere)
If you’ve been looking for this, you know it’s hard to find.I did need it, and I was expecting to have to pay a lot when I found one, so I was pleasantly surprised that this was very reasonable. It is built well, too. Screw terminals inside that operate smoothly and tight, so they shouldn’t work their way loose - and it includes the mounting screws as well, so everything you need is right here.

Excellent replica of classic Western Electric 404B
For those who are not sure how to wire these - the two prongs that are farther apart (with the line between them) are for ring and tip. Polarity really doesn't matter but I'm 99% certain that with the line at 12 O'clock as you face it, Green is Top Left and Red is Top Right. The other two prongs don't need to be wired unless you have a party line in which case yellow is ground and would be Bottom Right (kitty corner to Green) OR if you have a dial light transformer - in which case polarity of the other two doesn't matter, but Black would normally be bottom left.
