Household appliances such as dishwasher, washing machine, and refrigerator ice maker are built for operating pressure below 70 psi. If the water service pressure is greater than this, a pressure-reducing valve is necessary for reducing the pressure of water entering the house. After some time, debris from the water and other factors cause the valves to no longer operate correctly, which often means allowing water pressure to rise above the safe limit. The result can be expensive appliance repair. The pressure gauge is an inexpensive means for checking water pressure.

Assembly is required; one needs Teflon tape and wrenches to attach the fitting to the gauge. Is it accurate? It seems reasonably accurate, but I have nothing to compare it against. Simple to use.

Easy to attach the included spigot adaptor, simply use some teflon pipe tape. No leaks. I use this occasionally to check my house water pressure at the outside spigots. No idea of the accuracy as I have no other device for comparison, but this product appears to be make well and at this low price it is an excellent value.

Great to have to check water pressure. just screw on to any outside fixture. If you have a well it good to know whats happening with your pressure.
