Hi there, this whistle does not include a lanyard.

Does this whistle have a pea?

Yes. This is the preferred whistle for dog training. Only other alternative is the Acme Thunderer..a METAL English whistle. I prefer and recommend the Gonia.

I have 2 9-y/o rescue Dachshunds; barky at times. Would you recommend this product for them? With or without pea?

Definitely without a pea! It’s great!

how many are in a pack?

I don't know why they call it a pack, there is only one whisle. I don't use it anymore because I couldn't always get it to work. Hope this helps.
