Great medium
I have used several oil painting mediums and enjoy the consistency. There is no smell, and it does the job. It's a great price point, too.

Good stuff; no solvent fumes
I have a very small space to paint, in the same room as my husband's office, and both of us were being impacted by the Gamsol solvent. I got so I was smelling it 24/7, even though it's supposed to be odorless. Anyway, this is great. In later layers of paint, it keeps the paint from smearing and showing brush marks. Good stuff. Would recommend.

Great Eco Friendly and Fast Drying
I have been using Liquin for years and love how fast it dries, however the smell worries me. I decided to look for a more eco-friendly substitute. Gamblin Solvent-Free Gel Medium Oil is a painting medium that is made from safflower oil and alkyd resin. It is non-toxic and contains no Gamsol or petroleum distillates, which fit my first criteria of being more eco-friendly. There is hardly any smell to the product. My second criterion was that it had to dry fast. I found that thin layers of solvent-free mediums can dry to the touch in about 36–48 hours and thick layers can be dry to the touch within a week or two. I am very happy to have found this product and I am now using it in my paintings.

Good product and easy to use.
If you keep the 25% ratio, thin layers of paint are touch dry after 48 hrs. It also has a semi-glossy finish. Gamblin states it's not suitable for initial layers, but I only paint 2 or 3 layers maximum. I can make the upper layers fatter by adding a drop of oil to the paint mixture., or a little more gel. 4 stars because I find it slightly irritating and it has a little odor too (bleached linseed oil has neither but dries slower), but maybe that is only my problem.
