Well made and a great length - use a little dielectric grease to reduce corrosion
These work well and are well made, with premium materials. Due to the nature of the earbud and connection design, however, they can be corroded over time by sweat and moisture on the earbud end. It is a good idea to wipe down the cables and phono plug connector, and contact cleaner once in a while may help. I have also had good success using a small dab of silicone dielectric grease around the outside of the outer contacts from time to time. Permatex 22058 or equivalent - available at automotive parts stores, Amazon, etc. works well, is inexpensive, and can be applied with a toothpick. Since using this method I get far longer life between cleanings and cable replacement, and the cables no longer turn blue from moisture and sweat creeping down the cables.

Work, but not super high quality. But there are no real alternatives.
This is the 4th pair of these cables I have bought. I have the Shure 846 in ear headphones and I use them walking around plugged into my iPhone 6. Since I sometimes get phone calls, or want to change the track or volume, these cables are critical to get the additional functionality. Now I love the function, but I don't love the cables that much. They are not particularly high quality. They sometimes get tangled and I find they do age and give poor contacts - which is why I am on cable order 4. I use these virtually everyday so they do get a lot of wear. From what I can diagnose, the issue seems to be at the contact going into the Shure 846. I change out the cables and everything works fine. So, I am giving these a high review because they work. I wish Shure would produce something of high quality, even if the cable were more expensive, and I would buy those. Instead, I have a $1000 in ear headphone matched with these cables. But I do want the ability to control my iPhone at the same time so this is the trade off. Please, someone make better cables with iPhone controls!!!!

Decent Replacements... Not As Good As Originals Though.
These replacement cables are reasonably priced and work well. Definite plus there. The original chord that came with my Shure SE425s is just a little better though. The bendable portion that goes around the ear is thicker on the original and stays in place better. The replacement chord just feels a little more flimsy in general. The changes on the L-Jack are a nice improvement, as I can now plug them into my Samsung S8 without having to remove it from it's case. Let's see how well they last. The originals are still fully functional, after several years of use, the clear coating is just looking bad after all of this time... kind of yellowish. I replaced them with a black chord to avoid that. Jason After a little usage, they work well...but they are already starting to get beat up. I can tell I will need a replacement for them pretty fast. Also, one chords that extends past the y split is longer than the other one by a few centimeters, which is kind of annoying. I'm glad they are reasonably priced, but come on Sure... you are better than this.

Nice replacement cable
This is a nice replacement cable. Right off the bat I noticed the thickness of the cable is thinner than the original cable that came with my Shure215's. I think I like that it's more light weight, but if it does not last as long as my last cable (8 years) i'll say the thinner cable is an issue. Compared to my new Westone IEMS, the cable thickness is about the same. I chose the shorter cable because my original cable always seemed too long. This will function great without me having to tuck the excess cable into my back pocket. Replacing the cable was harder than I expected because the old set was crazy stuck on both drivers. I could not just pull gently and have them release like many videos suggested. I actually had to grab the ends with needle nose pliers and apply pretty good force to get the old cables off due to dust over the years. Plugging in the new shorter cable on the other hand was super easy. They clicked in easily and the sound is as should be expected. A good affordable way to keep your Shure215 IEMS alive.

Long high quality cables without a microphone
If you need replacement cables for your shore earbuds and you don't need to have the microphone then this is a great option, they're much longer than the cable I got which does have the microphone and these work great, not much else to say other than hey they work as intended, they seem like a very high quality product and hey do what you need them to do as long as you don't need the cable with the microphone attached
